Cashews, Almonds and Walnuts are all at the top of my list. Cashews eek out just a little more than the other two though.

Nope, cashews are part of the cashew apple, a tropical fruit tree found in the tropics. The cashew nut grows on the bottom of the fruit. The fruit is eaten locally, but because it is extremely perishable, isn't considered marketable. The "nut" part of the fruit, however, is very hearty and lasts a good deal of time off the tree.
