yearly appointment prep

maestra wrote: I have a question- I have my yearly appointment tomorrow, and the office called to confirm when I was gone and wouldn't leave a message with my dh. But I seem to remember from before, Don't they usually tell you no sex for 24 hours before? I don't know for sure.....

Anybody know?

Thanks!

mckayleesmom replied: Yes no sex the night before...

maestra replied: Darn! Thanks for telling me- I'd hate to go and then them tell me- OH, you'll have to reschedule.....

MommyToAshley replied: Awww... Poor DH, he's not gettin' any tonight.

Hope your appt goes well.

CantWait replied: WoW, I've never heard of that. Good Luck tomorrow.

aspenblue1 replied: I have never heard that either but Good luck on your appt.

Kaitlin'smom replied: I never heard of that either....never been asked that at my yearly.....good luck though

kimberley replied: ohmy.gif i have never heard that before either and i had mine done today too sad.gif . only thing my GYN ever said to me is if there is ever a problem down there not to shower just before you come because it could swab normal when there really is a problem(sorry tmi)

good luck with your appt.

A&A'smommy replied: yikes i have never heard any of that wink.gif

mckayleesmom replied: I have been told not to have intercourse the day before or it could make the test results come back abnormal. Sperm doesn't automatically leave your body. It can stay in a couple days..

jen replied: i don't know, I have never been asked or told to do anything but show up on time! LOL! laugh.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: LOL! I've just been told not to douche. I always take a bath before I go. And can't remember about the sex, but I think I put it off until afterwards, too. blush.gif

kimberley replied: he said you can bathe just not immediately before you come like get out of the shower and go to your appt. my gp told me the same thing too. dunno.gif
