stella6979 replied: I said no, only because I LOVE taking my own pics and don't trust anyone to get those perfect shots. And I always hand the camera off to someone to snap a few pics of me with my family as well. BUT, I do think there are people out there who probably would pay. At least I hope so, cause once I get a new camera I'd like to do something like that too. thumb.gif

A&A'smommy replied: I didn't vote because I am a photographer and my dh is good enough that he can work my professional camera (very well actually). But probably good pay would be about 10bucks an hour or more depending on the event

PrairieMom replied: I voted no. I think it is a GREAT idea, but personally, I have a "thing" with people coming into my space.

luvmykids replied: I think I would....of course I'd want to see their other pics, but I think being a mom is a good selling point because you know what shots moms want to capture. Nobody can ever understand my camera so I'm always stressed trying to get the pics, serve the food, referee the games....I was thinking I'd pay $30-50 for the whole party, let the parents have all the pics and be responsible for printing their own, and get a permission slip signed if there were a few I wanted to be able to use in my portfolio.

moped replied: No only because I appreciate professional pics......and spend a small fortune on them, BUT if that person wanted to use us as practice then that is fine tongue.gif

Crystalina replied: I'm a photographer so no but if I weren't I would want to see any work this person has done in the past, get references and write up a contract that would cover any money you give them if the pics are not acceptable. People that aren't pro's can do just as good a job as pro's if they know what their doing. wink.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
10$ an hour?

Dude... around here, amateur photogs can charge up to 150$ for an hour session..including 2 rolls, one b&w and one color. For parties and such, since it's more casual, maybe 50$ per hour. huh.gif

Calimama replied: Yep! I hired one (who happens to be another Marine wife) to do our homecoming photos. happy.gif

Our Lil' Family replied:
GREAT idea!!!! That way you get all the best pics that you wouldn't normally because you're too busy hugging! Smart thinking!

stella6979 replied:
What a great idea! I hope you'll share the pics with us. wub.gif

MoonMama replied: I think I would give them a chance. thumb.gif
