why...

Kaitlin'smom wrote: why is it when i am trying to wtch what I eat I seem soooo hungry all the time. I am typing to you all instead of finding something to eat. Any idea what I can eat that will fill me up.....sorry water is not cutting it, Oh I just had lunch about 2 hours ago.....that chocolate is calling me........I am gonna tell it to go away

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Are you on any type of program like WW? I'm not hungry at all this time. Not like I was when I was trying to count calories. wacko.gif That made me a total grouch. Try not to think about what you can't have. That always gets me in trouble. blush.gif Instead, try to think of things you are able to eat or healthy alternatives to the originals. I love WW. It really helps me keep things in perspective. I don't want to waste my points on silly stuff that will just make me more hungry. I like to eat a big dinner and lunch so I save my points for that. 1 piece of chocolate isn't worth it when I can eat a yummy WW dessert for only 2-3 points after dinner. I've satisfied my sweet tooth and kept within my point range. HTH! Don't succumb to the pressure. laugh.gif

MomToMany replied: I try to stat busy. I'll clean, or fold clothes, or just walk through the house, or go into the bathroom and brush my hair or something.

Don't cave Di!! You can beat it!

Kaitlin'smom replied: nope no program, I think its just that time of month for me, I usually get really hungry around that time then it passes and I dont want anything. I think I will have some fruit or yougert that should help.

Thanks I will send the chocolate packing laugh.gif

coasterqueen replied: This happened to me too when I was dieting. The good thing about like WW is you could have a tootsie roll pop for 1 point so I would suck on those things at work to help with the cravings. I have such a sweet tooth. tongue.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:
thanks I wont...I should be doing some work wink.gif so I guess back to work

booey2 replied: Hi don't know if you like it or not but I find that popcorn fills the void quite nicely, either air popped or smart pop by orville redden bacher. Or try getting some protien in at each meal so that you stay fuller for a longer period of time cuz it takes your body longer to digest the protein. Hope this helps.

As a last resort my mother used to brush her teeth to stop from eating, cus who wants to dirty their mouthe once you have cleaned it? dunno.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:
2 great ideas...

guess I need to bring in a toothbrush and some toothpase to work

MomToMany replied: thumb.gif Those are awesome ideas Terri!! Thank you!!

kimberley replied: chew gum??? that usually kills my hunger but i have max air, so it is like sucking down a pack of Halls in one shot laugh.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Terri is right! You def. need protein and I live on popcorn. It has no point value, to speak of and it fills me up. Sometimes we just need to munch on something. It isn't that we are hungry, really, just bored and we need that chewing action. wink.gif Try salad (lowfat dressing with chicken or turkey and lots of veggies) for lunch. That really fills me up and satisfies that need to 'chew'. kwim? Also chewing gum helps, but be careful b/c the sugar can make you more hungry. Try sugar free gum.

HTH! You will get through this! We are here for ya encouraging you on!

booey2 replied: Glad I could be of assistance, I will look at my material tonight and see what else I can come up with for filling ideas. thumb.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: thanks everyone, I so need the swift kick to get back on track after this weekend ohmy.gif can you say french toast ohmy.gif

I think I will also hang a pair of the pants I want to fit into on my closet door and maybe that will also help inspire me to drop the lbs

Maddie&EthansMom replied:
You could also make a poster board of inspiring photos, quotes, ideas, etc. I did this and it helped (along with hanging my bikini on my closet door!) laugh.gif I hope, I hope to be in it by this summer. happy.gif I'm doing so well on my diet, but it seems like the pounds aren't going anywhere now. dry.gif Or atleast not fast enough. wink.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:
I not patient when it comes to loosing them these days, but I am getting better, and once my boss get back in town and I am not owrking so late I can get back to the gym, I loved going and got out of it when we had to change kaitlins night time routine, now its pretty well set and DH can do it.
