Artist: Dan Seals Song: Everything That Glitters Is Not Gold Album: [" " CD]
Everything That Glitters (Is Not Gold) Dan Seals
Saw your picture on a poster, in a cafe out in Phoenix Guess you're still the sweet heart of the rodeo As for me and little Casey, we still make the circuit In a one horse trailer and a mobile home And she still asks about you all the time And I guess we never even cross your mind
But oh sometimes I think about you And the way you used to ride out In your rhinestones and your sequins With the sunlight on your hair And oh the crowd will always love you But as for me I've come to know Everything that glitters is not gold
Well old Red he's getting older, and last Saturday he stumbled But you know I just can't bear to let him go Little Casey she's still growing and she's started asking questions And there's certain things a man just doesn't know Her birthday came and you never even called I guess we never cross your mind at all
But then sometimes I think about you And the way you used to ride out In your rhinestones and your sequins With the sunlight on your hair And oh the crowd will always love you But as for me I've come to know Everything that glitters is not gold
Everybody said you'd make it big someday And I guess that we were only in your way But someday I'm sure your gonna know the cost Cause for everything you win there's something lost
But oh sometimes I think about you And the way you used to ride out In your rhinestones and your sequins With the sunlight on your hair And oh the crowd will always love you But as for me I've come to know Everything that glitters is not gold
TANNER'S MOM replied: Oh I read it and I cried..

A&A'smommy replied: hmmm that is hard on but lets see I have two Beautiful mess by diamond rio and let them be little both are country songs weird thing is I don't listen to country that much
My2Beauties replied: Urg, I have so many I don't know! It will probably be Don't wanna close my eyes...by Aerosmith because that is going to be our wedding song! Or is it called Don't wanna miss a thing, I'm just going by the words of the song! LOL!
bwalkerletters replied: Well, It depends on the genre really.........I love motown, rock and some country so here goes........
Motown - probably What Becomes of the Brokenhearted by Jimmy Ruffin, though Just My Imagination by The Tempations is right there too
Rock - I'm huge into Butch Walker now, his songs Don't Move and Best Thing That You Never Had
Country - love old George Strait, like Marina Del Ray
JessC replied:
I love butch walker, I got to see him in concert! He was awesome!
bwalkerletters replied: Oh yeah, Butch is great in concert. He's going to be at a club in Nashville on May 26th..... I'll be there
PascosGirl replied: Hmmmm....it is hard to pick just one:
80's music - Your Love by the Outfield
New music - Tonight and the rest of my life by Nina Gordon
Country - Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts
Old Rock N' Roll - Crimson and Clover by Tommy James and the Shondells
mammag replied: I can't really pick just one either because there are so many songs that if I hear them I'll say...."this is the best song ever"....
I'll just say Corey Hart's version of Can't Help Falling In Love With You because it was dh & I's song.
There are also a couple of Queen songs from the early days together that he played for me.... One Year of Love & Who Wants To Live Forever....
Then there's also I Love The Way You Love Me by John Michael Montgomery because he said it makes him think of me.
Oh see, I could go on forever.....
gr33n3y3z replied: not sure I have to many OLD Fav.s I would have to say anything by Pink Floyd
