what's the temp in what area of the country? - have you done this lately?

I live in the "Lowcountry" of South Carolina and it is expected to be 101 with an advisory of the heat index reaching 105 to 110!!!

MyLuvBugs replied: We live in Nebraska (Lincoln to be specific). Currently it's 85 degrees with 54% humidity (it rained earlier this morning and is cloudy now).

Today's high is suppose to be 97 Degrees

BUT tomorrow.....in the 80's for a high!!! YIPPPEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

Right now it's 64 but it's freezing and wet, high supposed to be 84 today and 78 tomorrow .... rain, rain, and more rain. I love it but am not at all used to it.

huggybugboy replied: Its supposed to get up to 89 here and I love it! I'm somewhere in the Sacramento Valley, CA. It was up to 115 weekend before last. How do you find out the heat index? Because 89 here feels a lot different than 89 back home on the coast.

Yikes, that is HOT! It usually feels hotter here because of the altitude and low humidity but I couldn't find the heat index either.

punkeemunkee'smom replied: They say it will be 100* here today with heat index over 110* BUT it is tourist season and they subtract like 15* from the actual temp before they put it on the news(Right,Karen )-They don't want to scare anyone away Our local bank clock said 112* yesterday and so did the temp on my truck mirror It is HOT!!!!

We have never had it before b/c most night get cool enough to make the house cold in the morning and our heat waves dont last very long but this year they have been long and hot!

Yes Abbie they without a doubt subtract atleast 15 degrees before the news. It is miserable here to say the least and so dry from lack of rain.

My2Beauties replied: I went home for lunch an don the news they said it was 89 with a heat index of 99 It feels like a freaking oven outside and the temps were only going up. The humidity here in the Ohio Valley (I live in Louisville, Ky) is absolutely horrific. We have the worst humidity. Brianne lived here for a while, she can account for that.

luvmykids replied: I don't know how you all with regularly high humidity handle it, we are super low normally but at 100% for the last few days and I feel like I've been wet for a week now Seriously, I don't even feel like I can get dry after the shower, I went through a ton of clothes this morning because they all felt damp to me, and the A/C feels like it's just blowing hot air. I've resorted to sticking my head in the freezer every 10 minutes just to keep my sanity.
