gr33n3y3z wrote: ever eaten?

Mine is winter eels and snails escargots but both are very good yummy.gif

bwalkerletters replied: I guess eel would be mine too, but as sushi.........

TANNER'S MOM replied: Turkey Fries..

They were oK but I wont eat them Again! puke.gif The thought freaks me out!

kimberley replied: chicken feet, blood pudding, raw oysters yummy.gif

mom21kid2dogs replied: A chocolate covered grasshopper (on a dare). It was crunchy and a little bitter but not bad!

kit_kats_mom replied:
Do you mean Turkey Testicles? I can not even fathom that. EW

Nothing too wierd for me. Sushi etc. My step dad used to eat brains and eggs but I never tried them.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I love sushi, so none of it is too off the wall for me, although I can't stand the sea urchin. I ate a chocolate covered garlic clove once. It was disgusting!

MomToJade&Jordan replied: Grilled octopus. I have also had eel and escargot. I will try anything at least once.

amymom replied: I have eatan and actually like most of what you all have mentioned. Except I have never tried Turkey Fries. What are they?????

I like Octopus, sushi, escargot, pigs feet (pickled), thousand year old eggs, eel. Oh well, I just like food of anykind. so let me eat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mammag replied: Well, I'm not so adventerous with what I eat so my oddest food was crayfish which I just never thought I'd like. (Keep in mind that until I got with Chris, when I was 16) I wouldn't even eat hamburgers so I've come a long way from that. (I pretty much lived on chicken.....wouldn't eat rice, tacos.

Anyway....so I'll say the oddest thing my MIL ate. When she lived in the Phillipines they actually did eat Baloot. If you watched survivor they had to eat these for a competition....here is the description for those who don't know....

(This is spelled Baloot, Baalut, Baluge, or Balute.) Half-hatched chicken egg. A baluge is a fifteen- or sixteen-day fertilized chicken egg. Open an egg and pop a sixteen-day-old incomplete chicken fetus into your mouth, complete with partially formed feathers, feet, eyeballs, and blood vessels showing through the translucent skin of the chick. My grandfather told me about this. He says the bad part is picking the feathers out of your teeth puke.gif

I told her about the show and she said she would have won that competition because she likes them a lot. rolleyes.gif

Merlin replied: well lets see i've had conch salad which is raw conch snail in a lime based salad

I am also org from montana home of the testicle festival so i have also ate Rocky mountian oysters!

TANNER'S MOM replied: Turkey fries are testicles. They are about the same as Rocky Mountain Oysters. They are small and you cut them in half, if not they don't cook well. You bread them and deep fry'em.

Now I thought I was eating hushpuppies until I got to the middle.

No Tanner LOVES them he can eat a whole pound at a time!

kit_kats_mom replied:
Say that three times really fast! LOL rolling_smile.gif

A&A'smommy replied: OMG ya'll most of that sounds extremely disgusting!!

BTW Kim what is blood pudding? the sound of it makes me feel SOO icky rolleyes.gif

kimberley replied:
well, it is more of a stew type dish that is made with pig's blood & pork. the filipino name for it is Diniguan which ironically means black chocolate rolling_smile.gif it is kinda bitter and spicy but i like it. see a bowl below... it is usually served on rice.

kimberley replied:
laugh.gif LOL everytime i see this on fear factor or survivor i crack up! most of my family will eat baloot. i personally can't get past the look of it but it doesn't bother me if someone else eats it. i grew up with it, so it is not that weird to me. my dad has made the same comments about the feathers. blink.gif

gr33n3y3z replied:
Ok I have to ask
please tell me they cook or heat up the blood before you eat it
bc if it is heated or cooked it sounds good to me.

ediep replied: blush.gif O Gosh!! I never eat anything that is wierd. I guess a boca burger is my most crazy!! blush.gif

kimberley replied:
lol yes the blood is cooked. that is actually the longest part of the recipe.. usually cooks in about 2hrs.

mammag replied: OOOOHHHHH I just called mil and she said she also had the Diniguan! She said they put Vinegar in it as well.

Kimberely, I have to ask, do you use a lot of vinegar in your cooking? I remember when I first started dating dh and everytime I went over to their house they were cooking with vinegar.

JAYMESMOM replied: Compared to all of you I haven't eaten anything that weird. Just oysters and fried octupurs. Both of which I would eat again.

kimberley replied:
lol why do people always say that? there are a few traditional dishes that call for vinegar but it is not in everything i cook tongue.gif . although one of my kids favorite dishes chicken adobo, has a lot of vinegar. wink.gif

My2Beauties replied: OK I guess I am the minority in that I have never ever tried anything weird! The weirdest thing I have ever eaten is crab legs, I had one piece of meat from it and thought it was gross! I have never ever tried anything else that remotely sounded funky! And I will never ever try anything of those things either! YUCK! blink.gif

3_call_me_mama replied: When i was little we used to eat blood sausage (not sure how similar it is to blood pudding ) but that's the only wierd thing i can think of... i don't eat fish or any kind of seafood so all that sushi is out (i don't even do imitaiton crab meat) tuna fish is about it for fish

gr33n3y3z replied:
If you eat tuna out of the can you would love fresh tuna
just as long as the dark meat is cut off and you soak it in salt water for about 2 hours before cooking it

3_call_me_mama replied: Actually i have had fresh tuna, adn liked it to a degree. I just don't care much for the flavor of fish and the texture kinda gets me. But other that the canned white albacore, and twice that i've had fresh tuna, no fish.

Mommy2BAK replied: Wow! You have all eaten a lot of gross things! I am weird about food, I refuse to ever try cottage chese or blue cheese dressing, I have a weird texture thing. The grossest thing I can think of that I have eaten is SPAM spam.gif yuck! My mom fried it for me when I was younger, I thought it was good at the time but now I can hardly think about it without getting sick! puke.gif

kimberley replied: you would die of starvation in a filipino household Tamara! rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif SPAM those tiny vienna hot dogs and corned beef in a can are staples in most families. and most of the food has a "weird" texture.

mummy2girls replied: k why did i look at this while eating a bagel..YUCK!

Me would be a caterpillar. But not on purpose people..PLEASE! LOL. I was playing around with a friend and for the wierd reason he had he threw one at me. My mouth was open because i was yelling at him and bulls eye. and before i could react down it went!

A&A'smommy replied: OMG SHelly LOLOLOL rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

Tamara I have NEVER had spam that i can ever remember and I won't try it lol so your not completly in the minority

The weirdest thing I have ever had was crocidile or whatever and it tasted okay

mummy2girls replied:
spam is nasty! people actually fry it and have spam sandwiches... rolleyes.gif

A&A'smommy replied:
yeah like my husband YUCK tongue.gif

Merlin replied: S- Scientificly

A- Animal
M- Matter

Mommy2BAK replied:
