what is your... - hobby???

My3LilMonkeys replied: I have lots of hobbies...but I devote very little time to any of them except reading.

Other than that - I do cross stitch, embroidery, needlepoint, sewing, a bit of quilting, and I've been attempting to learn to crochet for over a year now but I really suck at it. I also do sudoku, logic puzzles, crosswords, brain teasers and things like that.

Now though with 2 small ones I'm not doing them any more but would love to get back into it. I had done 6 or so and sent them to df's mom to frame(we lived in phx and htey lived in vegas) but on the way here they all got destroyed. I was upset about it cuz they took me my whole pregnancy and I was going to hang them in dd's room. lol@ghost watching... I won't go there again!!!! Is that a hobby, I think it is just a common occurance around here now..lol!!! I love the butterfly thing, that is beautiful!!! I take alot of pics of the kids, not a pro like you though .. but I like em!!!! I need something that doesn't take alot of patience..lol.. there are days that I have none!!!

Actually, sleeping is my current hobby. I try to do it as often as possible. And when I can't, I complain to the dh (see above).

I really think my current hobby is surfing the internet. I seem to do too much of that.

We just purchased a digital camera and a couple of nice lenses so I hope to some day tell you that taking photos of my kids is my hobby.

So if you find that me me me time, please share where you found it as I would like to pick some of that up somewhere too!! Although I know in 17 short years I"ll have way too much of that time on my hands . . .

It really is hard to find a few mins all to my-self, half the time that I am posting I have one if not two kids hanging off me..lol!! I keep saying that I am going to make time.. blah blah blah... it never seems to work..lol!!

mckayleesmom replied: Well....my normal hobby went to computer heaven.....so I won't be on it during the week till we get a new one. Lately I have just been spending alot of time cleaning and spending time with the kiddos.

I do about everything normally though.....sewing, cross stitching, painting things, scrapbooking...etc.

grapfruit replied: Scrapbooking!! I love it! Although it is VERY time consuming and sort of expensive. Your best bet if you want to get involved in something like scrapbooking, check out your local churches, a lot of times they have FREE crops. That way you can get your feet wet w/o taking the "plunge". LoL!

I also love pottery. My b/f bought me a wheel and kiln a few years ago for Christmas, but unfortunatly, that takes even MORE time. (And he hasn't hooked up the electric for my kiln) SO I haven't thrown any pots in a long while. I'll probably have to take a class again to remember how to do it. But it's a GREAT stress realiver!!!

I sing at church a lot, which is another hobby. I sing with the band on Sunday mornings and I actually very much enjoy rehearsing. I've always done things with music since I was about 5 years old.

In the summer I like to plant and garden. I also like decorating and remodeling, even though it can be a pain sometimes, but I usually like the end result.

Crystalina replied: Besides my photography I also weave baskets. I used to sell them but now I only do it for gifts and for my house. It's very calming and messy enough in itself that it doesn't matter if the kids get involved.

I also cross-stich and read John Grisham novels.

luvmykids replied: My main ones are reading, photography, and baking because I happen to fit them in the most, my favorite though is riding horses and a close second is golf. I also like to scrap book, would like to re-learn counted cross stitch and/or crochet.
