what is your favorite

My fave is very definitely "The Lorax". I've loved it since I was a little girl. What bothers me though is that I think the message, which is very strong and powerful IMO gets lost on both children AND adults, they just think it's a cute story. I also really like "Oh the Places You'll Go" but overall I prefer "The Lorax"...so much so that when I visited Islands of Adventure, they have a Dr. Seuss section where the Lorax is standing and I insisted on getting my pic taken next to him! Of course I also bought a Lorax mug and stationery, lol Anyone else have a fave in the Dr. Seuss library?
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: It's not lost on me. The Lorax contains a very stong environmental message. I won that book in an essay contest when I was 11. My favorite Dr. Suess book is his ABC book. Big A, little a, what begins with A? Aunt Annie's alligator, A-a-A.
lisar replied: Okay my fav book of his is "Green eggs and Ham" I know it isnt an educational book but I can read that whole book to Lexi and Raygen without ever looking at the words. I have it memorized.
kimberley replied: LOVE green eggs and ham!
My3LilMonkeys replied: I am the Lorax. I speak for the trees.
Always has been, always will be my favorite. My second favorite is Fox in Socks because it is filled with tongue twisters and is very fun to read out loud!
cameragirl21 replied: Pam, I'm glad you love the Lorax too, it's one of my all time fave books ever, a stroke of genius if you ask me. and yeah, I like fox in socks too, and i love green eggs and ham, that's why i quoted it in another thread, albeit slightly butchered but still, the essence was there....
luvbug00 replied: The grinch who stole christmas...the #1 dr. s book IMO! lol!
Nina J replied: The Cat in the Hate (LOL, I meant in the Hat..) and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish..oh, and Horton Hatches the Egg
hawkshoe replied: Oh, I loved the Lorax too. However, a few years ago I came across a Dr. Suess book called "My Many Colored Days" and it has become my favorite.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: The Lorax as well!! Ha!!!
I have a whole whack of books by Dr Seuss from when I was a kid... I must have at least 20 of them...
Crystalina replied: I feel so left out! I've never heard of The Lorax.
Jamison'smama replied: Fox in Sox--it makes us giggle and giggle. That's why it's my favorite but also, Oh Say Can You Say is another good tongue twister book.
