what cell phone company do you use - do you like it?

Celestrina wrote: My contract is up next month and I am starting to look at other providers. Also, what do you think of your phone?

Bee_Kay replied: I have Cellular 2000

I have the 1250 plan, plus one add-a-line ($20 extra).
It comes to about $65 per month.

I have a nice little flip phone... Ashley also has a flip phone with a camera in it.

b&bsmom replied: I have Nextel.I love the phone ( Nascar phone) but hate the service. The bill is different every month even if you do the exact same thing. I don't like it.

We used to have Verizon. I never had a problem with their service.

JMO hope it helps.

kayla's mama replied: We currently have Sprint. We are pretty happy with the phone itself but it does seem kinda pricey.

luvbug00 replied: CINGULAR BABY!!!! we had nextel and we got a differant charge every month on the family plan with two phones we were chaged 200 a month now we are charged under 70!!! plus they have new phones in and Mine does video, pics, music, calls and the plans are soo cheep! Oh and AI ringtones cool.gif

AlexsPajamaMama replied: We just recently got a FREE cell phone with T-Mobil, it was an online deal, with free shipping. The plan we have is 1000 anytime mins for $40 a month. My only issue with that is the billing period ends on the 4th and we havent even used 100 mins!! And no roll over either. At least we arent going over, I guess.

Edited : The phone we have is the Motorola V188

EvesMom replied: Cingular! Free mobil to mobil (which is awesome, you can call any cingular customer free) Roll over, and I rarely lose service (I do lose service in Harbor Tunnel on my way to visit my brother in MD, but that's to be expected.) The phone, I got 2 Nokia camera phones for $30 with the 2 yr agreement. Good little phone too. It takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin' tongue.gif

Bee_Kay replied: we have free mobile to mobile also (which is GREAT for ashley and her friends). thumb.gif

mummy2girls replied: im in canada... i have bell ...i like it.

ashtonsmama replied: We both use Verizon, no major problems with it so far, our contract is up this year too, sometime in the summer I think, so we need to look into everything and see if we still have the best deal...and our phones are both Samsung, not sure which type exactly, but they have just the basics...and that's all we really use them for anyways.

holley79 replied: Just about everyone in my family has NEXTEL. Right after Ivan we were having a lot of problems with the cell part but somehow the Direct Connet was still working like a champ. Everyone here at the SO has it. I, personally, don't recommend NEXTEL because the service isn't the best. It runs DH and I 107 a month for our lines. There are a lot better deals out there. The main reason why I keep it because family has it and everyone here at the SO has it.

luvmykids replied: We use Verizon personally and for the business and love them. We've stuck with them for almost 5 years now. Free long distance, free mobile to mobile (doesn't count against either persons minutes) and they have awesome coverage, for a long time they were the only ones to offer service where we lived and even now we don't lose calls where other people do.

I have a Samsung phone of some kind, a flip phone w/camera and video and is also an mp3. Dh has some weird spy looking phone, the front looks regular but then you open it up and it has a full keyboard, speakers, etc.

Bee_Kay replied:

So he is Mr. Fancy Pants, huh? wink.gif

luvmykids replied:
I think he's getting close to an early mid life crisis and I wouldn't let him get a corvette. emlaugh.gif

Bee_Kay replied: LMAO!! OMG rolling_smile.gif

luvmykids replied: And he's only 30, what are we going to have to buy at 40 or 50? wacko.gif

Bee_Kay replied:
Leopard print G-String underwear? rolling_smile.gif

luvmykids replied:
Already have those. rolling_smile.gif

Bee_Kay replied: LOL! Monica, you're a nut!

I bought my dh some of those once. Well... he decided that it would be funny to give me a little wedgie... So, reacting of course, I return the favor (forgetting he was wearing that little g-string thing).
Needless to say, he got a little rug burn type thing.. and lost a bit of fuzz blush.gif

Oh yeah, and he hasn't worn them since!! LMAO!

luvmykids replied:
Yeah, they were kind of a gag gift. I think they still have the tags, actually. But I figure there'll be some use for them some day, right? Or ebay?

And I just don't know what to say about the rug burn, other than LMAO!

~~*Missi*~~ replied: We have Sprint Pcs which now is combined with Nextel also.....

Chris and I were searching for new phones and with his job he carries his phone a PDA etc.... SO we were looking for those new window base phones kinda like a blackberry but more sophisticated.
Well we never had a issue with Sprint Never

We have over 2500minutes free roaming, free long distance, free nights and weekends (after 7), free mobile to mobile, sprints version of roll over, unlimted text and picture sharing all for 110$ (two phones)

We went to the sprint store to look into the phone its 699.99$ and well they have yet to ever have it one sale for existed customers (CRAP) since it came out. The lady was ignorant. We asked her price and what we could get for the trade in(they buy back your old phone)

Long story short. Chris my husband hates ignorant sales people so he called Sprint and we got the phone for 300$, don't have to pay the bluetooth wireless fee for 2 yrs (length of new contract) plus we can take his phone in and get an additional 150$ credited to our account.... Plus he has his phone with him monday set up and ready to go with same number and all. SPrint if you are a good customer they are very very good to you.

We travel to canada ALOT to see friends and we need a phone that works there and well roaming charges are nuts. So sprint with the free roaming and free long distance works great for us......

My phone

Like Dh's new phone but his is a step up
So yes i love Sprint

Bee_Kay replied: Yeah, it was the one and only time he had them on too.
Bad experience wink.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied:
We have Nextel also, and our bill is exactly the same every month. Weird.

The service is OK, between us & my 2 SILs we have tried, AT&T, Verizon and T Mobile and Nextel has the best coverage in our area. I love the direct connect b/c the whole family has Nextel so we can use it with everyone.

I have a very basic flip phone, I rarely use mine LOL. DH has a fancier camera/video phone and likes it.

Edward's Mommy replied: By myself, I've had T-Mobile and Cricket. With my dad, I had Verizon.

I hate T-Mobile because you were supposed to get free mobile to mobile minutes and free text messages for the plan that we signed for and we were charged .05 cents for incoming text and .15 for outgoing text. Plus, we had to pay 1.00 for mobile to mobile. Our first bill was 425.00 and our last bill was 836.00 and some cents on both. After that I cancelled my contract!

I love Cricket, the only thing I don't like about Cricket is our bill was 150.00 for Chris and me. But you get free calling, free text messaging and free long distance. And it's a 1.99 a month for ring tones if you choose to add that to the plan. My phone was 145.00 dollars and Chris' phone was 250.00 dollars and our monthly bill was 150.00 dollars.

I loved Verizon. But I only paid 40.00 dollars a month, but the bill was divided between our family members. And downloads were 1.99-2.49 dollars depending on what you were downloading. The only thing I didn't like about my Verizon phone was it was really hard to get reception in my parents basement. That's where I slept when I was living at home.

gr33n3y3z replied: I used to have CINGULAR never again
We went to Nextel and I love it now that we have a tower in the area
Very expensive tho.

If you looking for a good plan shop around and ask alot of ppl. in YOUR area what they think bc if you dont have a tower near by the phone wont work well and it doesnt matter who you have.

Brias3 replied: We use Cingular now and have had no real issues. I have the Razr phone and my husband recently switched from the Blackberry to the Palm Treo 360. I've been pretty happy with it. We've also used Verizon in the past- more problems there with coverage but I think it was due to our area as well.

Crystalina replied: I have Nextel and I love the service but my phone has no games on it. no color. no personality. bawling.gif
