well now I know why....
Mommy2BAK wrote: people spend their whole lives renting a home instead of buying. We are in the process of buying our first home right now and I am completely frazzled. If I even make it to our closing date (next Friday) I don't think I will even have the energy to move. Please tell me that its all worth it!
momofone replied: I know what you mean, it is a big step but it is worth it. Good Luck in your new home.
Celestrina replied: Definitely. Frequently when you rent there are limitations on what you can do to decorate, such as carpeting, what color to paint (both indoors and out), not to mention pets. When you own the place is yours to do with as you want.
TheOaf66 replied: it is Tamara
Boys r us replied: LOL..it's all worth it!!!!!! Well, until the a/c breaks in the dead of summer and the toilet water won't stop running and there is no one to call to come fix it, except the repair man who's gonna send you the bill, not your landlord!
I'm just kidding, that stuff does stink..but owning your own home far exceeds any of the little pesky stuff!!
coasterqueen replied: It's totally worth it, although there are so many days I wish I rented so someone else mowed my grass and did all the upkeep on our home and property.
Hang in there.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: It's worth it, just hang in there!
Buying a house is stressful - I can't imagine how much more so it would be when you're pregnant and have a baby to take care of!
A&A'smommy replied: it will be worth it!!!!!
Crystalina replied: It's very worth it. It's just getting past all the bank nonsense and paperwork.
luvmykids replied: By the time you close they will know more about you than your own mother But it will definitely be worth it, hang in there!
Mommy2BAK replied: haha I believe that for sure! Although, my mother owns the title company who is doing our closing, so whatever she didn't know before... she does now, like EXACTLY how much dh makes and has made the last few years
My2Beauties replied: Oh gosh the whole home buying process literally fried some of my brain cells but it's worth it, I love owning my own home and being able to do as I please with it. I will say though that since our water heater has been going out and we're having to light the pilot light 2-3 times a day to keep hot water going, I'm not a fan of home ownership
gr33n3y3z replied: It is well worth it and you can do it
kimberley replied: it will be great when the red tape is done. i have yet to venture into that nightmare. when do you get possession if it all goes thru? you probably know this, but u shouldn't be moving stuff urself. those two nameless babies need you to sit on ur butt and sip lemonade
Mommy2BAK replied: did you have to rub it in that they are still nameless?
Our closing is 4-25 and we are supposed to gain possesion at closing. I can't wait for it to actually be ours, we drive by it almost everyday, sometimes more than once, I know... we're pathetic!
kimberley replied: i would too! it's exciting!
and i was hoping it may inspire some names to come up soon
MommyToAshley replied: We drove by ours every day (sometimes more than once) too... the neighbors probably thought we were stalkers or something. LOL!
It is a lot of hard work, it's overwhelming, and you have to give up a lot of money and info about yourself. You'll probably go through a range of emotions from being proud owners to having buyers remorse -- it's all normal. But, in the end, as everyone has already testified, it will be so worth it!
Congratulations!!! And ... I agree with Kimberley, take it easy and no lifting for you!
holley79 replied: Girl it is crazy but the end product is well worth it!
Our Lil' Family replied: SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO worth it! Just be prepared to sign your name, all forms of it, 10000000 times! I can't wait to see pictures! And don't worry, I drive by homes that I just lust over just about daily!
Calimama replied: You're almost there!
moped replied: Ha, i was jsut going to say all that too!!
Seriously its all good, a bit pricey at first but it is worth it!
Sam & Abby's Mom replied: That is so awesome -- its the best move you'll ever make. Its money in the bank.
Yah -- like someone else said,,,be prepared to sign your name a million times.
Congrats and no heavy lifting for you, my dear.
DillsMommy replied: My only word of advice--buy a stamp with your signature. You get so sick of signing your name! Very much worth it though. Congrats on your new home!
