weird question - please forgive me

because i've got a few. right now i laugh at them but when i heard them i wanted to hit the person to see if i could jumpstart their brains.
i ran into a co-worker of mine a few days ago who has two kids herself and didnt know i was pregnant. she took one look at my basketball belly and said "How did this happen?" I asked her to repeat herself incase i heard it wrong but she said it again. "How did this happen?"
not quite the dumbest..but still the most recent and funniest one.
loveydad replied: Yes, all the time when my others were pregnant... most recently when my gf was pregnant, she mentioned she was having twins and someone commented "oh...I wondered, because you look really really extra fat..."
MomToMany replied: LOL! That's funny!
I don't really remember the stupid things people have said to me. I've been so forgetful lately anyway.
due_any_day replied: oh thats not just dumb thats rude....
i made a funny face on the bus on the way to the train station to pick up my bus pass because it was early and i'm tired. some woman asked rather loudly "Oh lord! Are you okay?! You're not going into labor NOW are you?" and i have no idea who the heck this woman is
kimberley replied: my absolute favorite (NOT!) is when you are in the last few weeks of pg and everyone you know looks at you and asks, "You haven't had that baby yet?"
ugh!! does it freakin look like i had the baby? do you see a baby? do you think i just swallowed a basketball? ok, i'll stop ranting, but that really drove me nuts!
DansMom replied: I had more than one person predict out loud that I would need a C-section. I'm only 5 feet tall and one inch, and my belly was just huge. I didn't mind comments that my belly was huge, but I didn't appreciate the negative predictions. I was fortunate to give birth naturally, but even if I hadn't, it would not have been because of my height or weight---most C-sections are unrelated to height/weight of the mother.
Littlejojames replied:
Oh my god that is one of the funniest things i have heard
MomToMany replied: Oh man, those are some really bad ones! I feel so bad for you guys .
My2Beauties replied: I had the same thing with me, my belly was so big and I'm such a small person everyone was like you're too small to give birth naturally you're gonna need a c-section. Happy to say that baby popped right on out
Another dumb thing was (from everyone, even people I didn't know on elevators) "Honey you look like you're about to pop" "Ugh, I'm about to pop you upside the head if you don't shut up is what I am about to do" LOL LOL!!
due_any_day replied: wow...i'm having a day. i was outside with the dogs and some old man walked up and just started touching my stomach going on and on about how it looks like i'm having a boy and i look like i'm about to pop. very nicely i looked him in the eye and went "I'm sorry sir but i dont know you so could you please not touch my stomach? its private property owned by me." You know, trying to be serious but sorta goofy to get a point across.
I was told I was a d*** rude girl who should learn some manners....
wha...?
ediep replied: what???? I can not believe that he said that to you!!! When I was preg, I hated people touching my belly. I think I would have freaked if an old man stranger came up to be and started touching my belly!
due_any_day replied: and my mom wonders why i'm not a people person.....*scratches head*
loveydad replied: When that was said to my girlfreind ("Haven't you had those babies YET!?") she replied "OH yeah, but you know, they really didn't like it out here so I put them back in. We'll try back in a year or so." LOL
A&A'smommy replied: grrr I hate that! I guess I'm the weird one I LOVED having my belly touched (by friends or family) I could sit for hours with people rubbing my belly BUT if someone I didn't know came up to me, started rubbing my belly and THEN called ME rude I would have called him a LOT of other things!! I only got rude once (that I can remember) I called a lady in walmart a b**** because she was rude to me. Anyway I SOO miss all those preggo moments!!
