mckayleesmom wrote: For those that remember me having tested positive for having pre cancer cells on my uterus. I have to have the LEEP procedure done. I got a result sheet in the mail and I have to make an appointment after my next aunt flo visit. I have to get a pregnancy test done the day before that. Im kind of nervous that its going to hurt. Overall it will take about 1 hour. On a better note....I have a free pass to NO NOOKIE for 4 weeks. My husband wants to know why every illness that a woman has means no nookie...lol
mckayleesmom replied: OH yeah...Momtobe and Daddytobe...your input here would be greatly appreciated. On a level from 1 to 3 on cervical dysplasia they said I was a 3....is that on the bad side? They didn't say which was considered bad,,,the 1 or the 3.
CantWait replied: Hope everything goes well. Good Luck
kimberley replied: try not to be nervous. you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
~Daddytobe~ replied: I don't want to scare you (better said than done)and i hate to post this dear...
Okay from what i remember with that kind of thing....Cervical Dysplasia is a term described as the appearence of abnormal cells on the cervix. It is usually in 3 different stages..1 is mild, 2 is moderate and 3 is severe.
Considered precancerous condition. Left untreated it may progress into a early form of cancer and then eventually ivasive cervical cancer. It usually takes up to 10 years for that to develop if it does.
It is treatable and it when it is then it wont turn into cancer...
I want to send you some hugs and hope everything turns out ok.
mckayleesmom replied: Well I know they caught it early because at my last pap there was no sign of it. I am going in for treatment in a week or 2. Thanks for the info...that helps because it doesn't say on the paper.
Kaitlin'smom replied: just glad they caught it early! Hugs to you!
jem0622 replied: Lots of hugs and positive vibes. I once worked with a girl who had this and she had to have procedures done pretty frequently. She said that the day or two after was uncomfortable...but I'm sure that they will give you pain meds. They constantly monitor the area and take away the questionable tissue. Of course, over time they can take a lot...but it is keeping you healthy.
LOTS OF HUGS Julie

I am so glad that they caught this early! Good for you for getting your paps regularly and it is treatable now.
Sending lots of prayers, hugs and positive thoughts.
Kirstenmumof3 replied: LOL your poor DH! I hope all goes well and that the results came back that nothing is wrong!
DansMom replied: I know someone who had this done too. It was stressful at the time, but she's had no problems recur and it's been about 8 years. I hope it all goes well for you and they can give you a clean bill of health when it's over with.
supermom replied: I had to have this done when I was 16 and have never had any problems since - I remember it didn't hurt much to have it done, they numb you up pretty good. It was like having a medium AF afterwards with cramps and stuff......
Good luck to you and it will turn out fine!
