mom2tripp wrote: Why are you unregistered?????
moped replied: I think because they violated the TOS
C&K*s Mommie replied: I do not think I ever read the TOS. So I hope I do not violate them.
mom2tripp replied: Hi Jen
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I think they mostly state that you are who you represent you are and your pictures are yours. Other than the avatar, which is a game.
MomToMany replied: Yep, that's about it. I just don't understand WHY people do that. It makes it hard to believe others .
BAC'sMom replied: Where and what is the TOS? I want to make sure I have not broke any rules.
kimberley replied: here are the TOS
the administrators and moderators give much thought, investigation and often warnings before deciding to unregister a user, so please don't think it is done haphazardly or that you can be banned by making a mistake. in the past, the most common reason a user has been unregistered is because we have proven they were posting pictures that did not belong to them or providing fraudulent information about their identity. hth.
luvmykids replied: I was up all night thinking the same thing! lol
Seriously, I was afraid I'd done something bad, too! Thanks Kimberly for clearing it up! Why do people do things like that?!
3xsthefun replied: I don't understand why people have to do that. It makes me upset that people have to lie.
People do it on a pet message board I belong to also. Sometimes I wonder if it is the same people. They pretend to have dogs that don't even belong to them. It makes me so angry.
It is the same here why in the world do people think they have to steal pictures, of other people's kids. The thing is they usually get caught pretty quickly. So why, in the world even come here with fake names and fake kids.
mom2tripp replied: Thanks for all the info everyone! Wow, that's scary!!! So even if they are unregistered can they still post and read our post, because I still see three or four of them on here???
Insanemomof3 replied: I hope I never violate them too! LOL Of course, I don't lie about who I am or who my kids are...I don't feel I need to. I don't understand people who do.
BTW. I know that sometimes it can be seen that members sign on with the same IP addy? Well, sometimes Moxee24 (Jaimie) uses my computer so I just wanted you guys to know, that her and I ARE different people, she just comes here and used my computer sometimes.
MomToMany replied: I don't think they can read anything or post. They will get a warning message that they are banned. I THINK anyway. So no worries !
BAC'sMom replied: Thanks Kimberley.....
I went back to double check if I have broken any rules in TOS. I made sure I am listed under members and I am. I guess I need to sign my god given name instead of initials or my nickname, don’t want to confuse anyone or make you think I am a fake since I’m new here. I have chosen to go by my initials because people get a bit freaked out by my “boy” name. Some people think it is cute, personally I would have know how a boy named “Sue” felt like growing up. My children do have strange and or unusual names; I like it that way. I didn’t want the standard name of Susan or Robert.
Hope this clears some things up, not that I was trying to pull the wool over someone's eyes.

TLCDad replied: Yep most are banned and can not even see the message board.
I have no idea why people (albiet a very small few) do this, it is so obvious sometimes. They are easy to detect and are flagged right away while we administrators and mods discuss what to do with em. And all the time they think they are getting away with it. Obviously they are not computer or internet hosting savey.
My3LilMonkeys replied: There are certainly others here who are more knowledgable than I and they will correct me if I am wrong, but in my understanding you are certainly free to go by a nickname, initials or a screen name without ever revealing your real name if that is what you want to do. You just can't come on here and say that you are someone you are not (like claiming to be Britany Spears or something).
BTW, I like your name. I can see how it would be hard to live with though! And since I don't think I have posted with you before, welcome!
Kentuckychick replied: When you say unregistered do you mean when it says that there are "guests" and "anonymous" users reading posts? I know that occassionally I come on to read and don't realize that I've been logged out so I show up as an unregistered member, when in fact I actually am very much registered
I actually felt a little uncomfortable registering at first since I'm not technically a parent yet (hopefully soon enough *wink*), but my Godson is with me all the time (my mother and I keep him while my friend and her husband work) and it's great to have a site to come to when I have questions, and I have worked with children for so long now that sometimes I feel I might be able to offer advice too.
But anyway, thanks for being as welcoming as all of you have been... I will never misrepresent myself here...
C&K*s Mommie replied: I will use Nic many times, or I will go by my initials too. That way if someone calls for Mr. Nic or sends correspondence for NL~~I know it is not something that I intended someone to know my real name with. (i.e. junk mail) On occassion (not here) I have gone by Dani (short for Danielle), mostly because I am always filling out those entry forms for a cruise or such at the malls, or I am requesting catalogs from online stores, or something along those lines~ and because I want to remain anonymous but still get the information I requested, I use it. That is a red flag for me for sure, when I get junk mail from an unsolicited company. Danielle is one of the names that Chris and I were pondering on when we were picking girl names before Christian was born. Chris gets a kick out of it, when I get junk mail~~ but strangly I actually like rec'g it. It is either junk mail or bills. I would rather have the junk mail.
