kimberley wrote: ok, spill 'em... what is your secret to keeping your tub shiny? for the life of me i can never get mine to shine... it is clean, just not shiny. tia.
Insanemomof3 replied: I have a plasic tub...so mine doesn't shine either. sorry, I can't help you there.
luvbug00 replied: Mya's is plastic too.
lisar replied: Toilet bowl cleaner. Like the cloroz toilet bowl cleaner that sticks to the sides. It makes mine shine. It will also remove rust stains in the tub if you have that kind of thing in your water where your at.

mckayleesmom replied: Mine doesn't shine either...your not the only one. I usually wipe it out after the kids bathe and clean it once a week..... ..When you have kids that play in dirt and stuff...I think its pretty common for them to not be that clean all the time....I just close my curtain.
MommyToAshley replied: Mine's plastic too.
My2Beauties replied: I'm with Bri - close the curtain and no one will know! LOL!
paradisemommy replied: we have red dirt over here which makes things even worse..but when i get in the shower, i will pour comet on the bottom and then take a sponge and use my feet to scrub all the stuff out (cause your weight helps you get a better scrub )..on top of that i have a big plastic matt (to help you not slip)..so maybe once every 2 weeks or so - i'll fill the tup up about 2 to 3 inches with water and peel the matt off and place it upside down and pour about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of bleach inside and let it soak overnight..gets all the gunk off the bottom of the matt.
coasterqueen replied: Ours are that plastic too. I agree, close the curtain and no one will know. LOL.
JessC replied: well I use bodywash to clean mine, then it sparkles! seriously!
Like bodywash from a dollar store is where i buy mine.
A&A'smommy replied: a tub is suppose to shine?? j/k i use mr. clean magic reach its great but my tub is plastic AND its textured I don't know if it will ever shine...
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: mr clean magic eraser!!!
kimberley replied: * running out to buy comet, bodywash, toilet cleaner and closes the curtain in the meantime *
i have the magic erasers because my daughter thinks she is a mural artist so i will try that first
thanks for the tips ladies!
TeagansMom609 replied: Mines plastic too, and textured at the bottom. I was using some kind of bleach bath spray but it makes me dizzy and irritates my lungs so now im trying to look for something else. I wish I could use comet but you cant because it will scratch the tub up. When someone figures out what works best let me know!!
mckayleesmom replied: Teagansmom....I use to have a textured bottom on my tub and I used Clorox soft scrub stuff on it...it doesn't scratch.
3_call_me_mama replied: I use comet and then i use turtle wax ofter it is all clean. Just like waxing a car. Let it dry and then buff it off. It will shine and then the water just beads up after you shower. Also wiping down the shower after a shower works great to keep the shine once you achieved it:)
Maddie&EthansMom replied: We have a porcelain tub and I use Comet with a heavy duty brush. It works like a charm.
SOUTHERN MOMMY replied: That is what i use also it cleans very good but NO SHINE here
ZandersMama replied: Avon bubblebath. I use it to shine hardwood floors as well.
Brenda2005 replied: Shoot i have a housekeeper that comes once a week and shines the darn thing..i just couldn't do it
