trick or treating...

I think Sophia's probably a little young for this yet, and we are bad neighbors who don't talk to our neighbors much. We will probably go to the mall this year where they set up trick or treating and a little parade and such. If we had older kids I would def. give them the experience of going door to door, but since it's just Sophia I think we'll pass on that this year. What will you all do?
Guest replied: well this year holloween happens to be the same day as my husbands annual training conference for army recruiters. Its like 3 days long,,,the men and women in the army go to classes, they have and activity for the wives, activities for kids, etc...Then one of the days there is a atc ball, its kind of like prom..lol...its a really fancy sit down dinner where you watch your husband or wives get awards and such...then theirs dancing. Well on that night they have a little holloween party for the little ones. Im not sure if mckaylee is included in it cause they have a different set of babysitters for kids under 4, but Im dressing her up anyways.
mckayleesmom replied: That was me too.
chloe&tysmommy replied: Well, we live in the country so we just drive to a few farms- people we know- we took Chloe last year and dressed her up as a ladybug. The candy is 10X better out here because they give you lunch bags full of pop and candy! hee hee we *helped* her eat the candy!! LOL
This year we will definitely take her out again, at least she will be awake this time
supermom replied: Since my "older set" hadn't quite outgrew going trick-or-treat when it was Anders first Halloween, we all went out and he had fun being outside, even if he wasn't quite old enough to eat all the candy (like mckayleesmom, we helped him - lol!). We live in the country too, and none of our neighbors stay home on Halloween. But town is close, and we do the same neighborhood my mom lived in and the older kids started out doing 15 years ago when my mom first moved back here. So, we always go and visit the neighbors and they get a kick out of seeing how much the kids have grown (it's mainly older people and they really like it!).
So, since Anders is going (he FINALLY "gets" trick-or-treat, he's been talking about all the candy!) we will take Emily too, but without a bag, just a costume for her........my guess is Anders is so cute, he'll get enough candy for all of us. The older kids are not going, they are just going to go to parties (too old for trick-or-treat, for sure!).
CantWait replied: I took Robbie trick or treating when he was 1. We didn't go out for long or get a lot of candy, but we went. Just for the experience.
coasterqueen replied: Well, we live out in the country so we will probably take her some of the people on our road, most are family anyways, then we might go to my sister's apartment complex and do a bit there and then maybe the mall. Not for sure just yet. Who knows we might just stay around our area.
DansMom replied: Daniel's too young this year---not walking yet---but my nephew lives next door and we'll probably walk around with him like we've done the last few years. We have a great neighborhood for trick or treat---lots of kids, lots of families, and the neighbors know each other because there are two parks very close by where we go with our kids.
MommyToAshley replied: I am not taking Ashley trick or treating this year... I think she is still too young. But, I will probably take her to see realtives in her cute costume, whatever that will be.
MomToJade&Jordan replied: I am going to take Jade trick or treating around the courtyard and that's about it. She is too young still but older then she was last year. I am going to take her buddy Lyli with us while her Dad passes out candy. I am going to dress up too. I love Halloween.
MomToMany replied: We'll be taking Hannah trick-or-treating, along with her brothers. Shgw won't get much of the candy, but it would still be fun for her to do.
momma2jenna replied: Jenna Cate is so young 5 1/2 mos. But I think we're gonna dress up, and dress her up and we're gonna give out candy this year, ashamed to say, for the 1st time She's very 'alert' or curious, so I think she'll enjoy seeing all the kiddo's come to the door!
ediep replied: My husband company has a halloween party that we might go to, otherwise we might just get together with some friends at a playgroup for a party
mummy2girls replied: jennas birthday is the day after halloween so she will be 1 pretty much on halloween. So i am dressing her up and taking her to west edmonton mall for trick or treating. i took my nerphew last year(day before i got induced) and he got SO much candies.
