Just idle curiosity here...do all of your subjects sign general releases saying you can use the images wherever you want, or do you have to ask their specific permission to post them here?

cameragirl21 replied: all of my clients sign a release form and nearly all of them are hoping i'll publish their pictures somewhere. but this is actually a misconception among people--the pictures do not belong to the people in them, even after they purchase them. the pictures belong to the artist and are the property of the artist. that said, if any of my clients wanted to post a picture that i took here or any public place (other than on the walls in their home for instance) they'd actually need MY permission in order to legally do it...even though they are the subjects in the picture.
in my case, since i do a lot of commercial work and publish quite a bit, i just have everyone who works with me sign a release form from the get go. most people who choose to work with me do so with hopes that their pics will be made public, that's what i'm known for.

yeah, her belly button is really dark and she was really conscious about that, kept asking her daughter to put her hand over it.
the thing is her due date is the day after tomorrow, so she really is ready to blow!

Thanks for the info! I was aware that the photograph is your property (I work in a photography related industry) but I also know that you're not the type of person to post pictures of someone if they didn't want them posted.
