terrible weekend - DH and I both sick

DansMom wrote: Daniel is on the mend from this horrible stomach virus, and Friday evening DH and I came down with it (he started at 6 pm, and I at 11:30). It's been a rough weekend. On Saturday I literally had to dress Daniel in stages, also feed the cats in stages, taking breaks in between each step to lie down. Poor Daniel had two sick parents and spent most of Saturday watching videos. He was sad and confused by our both just lying there or running to the bathroom. I got very little help from my sister next door, unfortunately---she'd take him for about 20 minutes and bring him back. On Sunday we were done with the worst of it, but still weak and achy. I hate to think Daniel felt this bad.

The worst part was Sunday morning, Daniel woke up in tears crying "I need my mama!" I felt so much better and just scooped him and told him I was better, cuddled him and played with him all day, but I hate that he was scared by my illness.

JessC replied: Aww that sucks being sick. mad.gif Poor kiddo! sad.gif
I hope all of you guys get better soon! smile.gif

gr33n3y3z replied: I'm glad you are both feeling much better smile.gif

MommyToAshley replied: grouphug.gif I am sorry you both were so ill. It sounds horrible. I wish I lived closer, I would have taken care of that cutie pie... but I might not have wanted to give him back. wink.gif He is such a sweetie for worrying about his Mommy... I am glad you got to spend Sunday with him!

PascosGirl replied: Sorry to hear that. It is tough when both parents are ill and you don't want to get your kids sick but they still need help.

Hope you both are feeling better!! smile.gif

mammag replied: Oh I'm so sorry you were not well! Poor little fellow must have been so confused. I'm glad you guys are feeling better. I'd have a talk with that sister if it were mine. I wish she would have helped you out more.

jcc64 replied: Hey Tracy-
Sorry you guys were taken down by the horrible plague. That's so sad but sweet that Daniel was so concerned. I'm glad it didn't last that long. How's he doing- back to normal?

DansMom replied: Daniel is doing really well virus-wise---seems to be fully over it. The diarrhea ended Thursday and his appetite really picked up over the weekend. In fact, he's eating record amounts, really a lot for him at every meal, and I'm starting to wonder if this is a coincidence---I just started him on this acidophilus bacteria in powdered form (the stuff in yogurt, but non-dairy). I wonder if that's helping his digestion, as his appetite peaked at the same time.

kimberley replied: sorry i am late in replying. i hope you and DH are better. YAY for Daniel eating more! that is great news. sending lots of ~~~~stay healthy~~~~ vibes your way! grouphug.gif

amynicole21 replied: Ugh! So sorry to hear you were sick. DH and I were sick together once when Sophia was about 7months old. We put Baby Einstein on repeat play and put gates up in the family room and both just crashed in there with her. Poor baby... I'm sure Daniel was so happy to see you feeling better!!
