For one reason and one reason only. I've never ever seen a working lighthouse on a landlocked lake. I walked away with that, "Well whaddya know 'bout that," feeling. Not only is there a lighthouse there, but the lake is named for an RV (or could it be the other way around?). Finally, it ain't just a lighthouse; it's a REAL lighthouse!.
Now you must understand that when I passed through there I was terribly hung over and there wasn't much else to see or do in some 900 miles. We'd left Appleton that morning on a firetruck ride back to NJ (Think about sitting on a diving board with someone bouncing right behind you constantly, and you have an idea about the comfort of riding cross-country in a fire truck). So, the place, and the oddity of it struck me as quite interesting.
