We use to go quite often and now when we treat the boys, I will usually get the whole wheat chicken mcgrill if I want a sandwich or if I really want a treat I order the kids meal cheeseburger, fries and diet coke. Once its gone it is gone.

oh how I would love to eat a big mac, but oh the calories that would be almost and entire days worth
kimberley replied: i guess that is my problem, i don't eat salad. i didn't grow up eating anything raw and usually had hot lunches. i have tried "converting" but everything raw tastes like dirt to me lol.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Easy for me...I hate McDonald's. If I have to eat there, I order a salad. Try their McGrill or try to downsize. Like Terri said, get their Happy Meal and eat only what you need. You shouldn't rack up too many calories that way.
PascosGirl replied: I order a grilled chicken sandwich with no mayo. I ask for BBQ sauce because although it is high in sugar, it is low in fat and I am already blowing the whole carb thing by eating bread (BTW - I don't do low carbs, ever) ! Anyhow, I order a side of apples with it since they offer those with kid meals. I top it off with a bottle of water. The whole meal is only about 6 grams of fat which is pretty good for McD's!
iluvmysweetiepies replied: We haven't even there in forever. I usually take the kids to Subway if we are getting fast food, which isn't very often. Sorry, I'm not much of a help LOL.
Boys r us replied: There are lots of ways to deal with this...#1 when you get the kid's meals, opt out for the apple slices instead of fries for them..that way if you're like me and tempted to sneak a fry or 8 from them, well..the temptation isn't there. Wendy's also ovffers manadarin oranges in any of the meals instead of fries and also they have a great new fruit bowl as a meal!
All of that aside, you can also order a burger and take the bun off..or a grilled chicken sandwich!
