small town sad news - family needs prayers

mom2tripp wrote: Yesterday when DH and I were walking Tripp we heard all kinds of sirens and saw Pegasus land in our town and you know that feeling you just get deep in your bones that something is truly wrong? Well about 1/2 hour later one of our family friends called and said that a 15 year old boy had been killed riding his go cart. His mom has three boys, I went to high school with one. I COULD NOT get this off my mind all night last night and I just can't imagine the pain and trauma that the family is going through right now. Can you all just say a silent prayer for their family and maybe somehow ask GOd to help them through this tought time. I love living in a small community but when you know everyone these things can't escape you. Thank you all for reading

jcc64 replied: You're right, that is the downside to living in a small community. We had a similiar tragedy a few months back- the 18 yr old dd of one of our football coaches was killed in a car accident. We all knew her, she worked at the local pizzaria. The dad has continued to coach, but he's always drunk, yelling inappropriately at the kids- the parents all understand but it's a really sad situation all around.
My thoughts are with your neighbors.
