Kaitlin'smom wrote: for Gymnastics class biggrin.gif they had an open house for the start of there new season Satuday so we took her, she LOVED it there and they got to play around, they have a great kuids area its hugs and looks like fun. Its one night a week for 6 weeks. If she likes it we will continue. The place is HUGE 22,00 sqft, and everyone was soooo nice. She starts next week.

mckayleesmom replied: Thats great...hope its fun.

coasterqueen replied: Awesome!!! How much fun!

Our Y doesn't start gymnastic classes til age 4 but I think I might check out our local Cheer place. She wants to start a dance class so badly but with her tippy toe problem I'm afraid it would only set her progress back. rolleyes.gif

DansMom replied: That will be a lot of fun! thumb.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:
we are going to a cheer/gymnastic place, they start at 2 with a 30 minute parent and tot class, I was goign to do it last season but decided to waite until she was a bit older, she can be in the TinyStars for 2 sessions then if she is ready when she is 3 she can move up, thats why I waited so she does not get board to fast doing the same class to long. I figure is she does not like it then we will look for something else to do for her.

coasterqueen replied:
I'm gonna check it out! Cool. We just had a Cheer place open up right on my way to work and it's really not that far from home, a lot easier to get to after work than the Y is so I'll do that. Thanks! thumb.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:
your welcome, the one she is going to is on the way home so I picked a time I can pick he rup from the sitters and go on the way home so its convient and that way I will take her, laugh.gif I just could not see me getting up early on saturday mornings to go....now if she falls in love with and really progresses with it then I will have to do some saturdays then I wont mind.

A&A'smommy replied: AWWW how cool!! I hope she LOVES it!! love2.gif

Boys r us replied: Ohhhh!!! How fun!! I'm so jealous of these girly things you moms get to do with your girls sad.gif

Would you believe my boss won't let her 4 yr old sign up for gymnastics b/c she's afraid she'll get hurt?? haa..of course this IS the same woman who still has her in a baby bed b/c she's afraid she might fall down the steps if she wakes up huh.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:
boys can take gymnastics also..... tongue.gif I saw a lot of little boys there. this clas sis suppose to halp with cordination, listing, following directions and builds self confidence. Have you asked him or taken to to see it, see if he is interested cant hurt to try, and he does/or does not like it so be it. biggrin.gif LOL just make sure he does not pick up the girls in class laugh.gif I am sure they will all just fall in love with him.

CantWait replied: Hope she has a great time!! redbounce.gif

luvbug00 replied: Sounds like fun!! thumb.gif

MommyToAshley replied: How fun! I bet Kaitlin will love it!

MommyToAshley replied:
Ashley wants to do acrobats and I was a little scared to sign her up for it because they really can get hurt if they aren't monitored properly. But, the place that I signed Ashley up for dance doesn't start acrobats until age 4 for that reason, so I am kind of glad. But, next year, I will sign her up. By then I will have had a chance to observe how attentive they are in the acrobats class. Di, I don't think you have to worry since it is a parent/child class. thumb.gif

ammommy replied: I hope she loves it! Alec has taken gymnastics for 2 years and Megan just finished her first session (mommy and me) and they love it. It took Alec a few weeks to get comfortable leaving me in the lobby but now he runs out first.

3xsthefun replied: Sounds like fun! thumb.gif Hope she likes it!

Kaitlin'smom replied:
One reason for going to this place it will give me a chance to be careful with her and if she LOVES it (I am sure she will) then when she is 3 she can do a class by herself. They keep the ratio low 9-1 at the most. I am looking foward to it also smile.gif

coasterqueen replied:
This will also help you do things with her at home the RIGHT way. I know Kylie wants to do summersaults and stuff and I took gymnastics but it's been way too long ago so I want to do a mommy/me class so I can learn how to help her at home as well. thumb.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:
very true, she can do a summersult, Alicia (sitters daughter) taught her when she took gymnastics

TANNER'S MOM replied: Oh Britt took it and it was soo much fun. We did it every summer at our local Y..

Justin did too.. They had a tots class while Brittany was doing her tumbling.

Brittany could do a cartwheel at three.. and my boys love to do them!

coasterqueen replied:
I taught Kylie how to do one but she said it hurt her neck so I am forgetting something I guess when teaching her. I tried it myself and OY! I'm too old to do those, lol.
