sesame street???
ediep wrote: what is up with sesame street??? I think they make like, 5 new episodes a year and just keep showing them over and over. We watch it every morning and we tivo it for the weekends.
Jason was just watching it and I hear him say "mommy", so I said "yes, honey?" he said "NO, cookie's mommy" and pointed to the TV and in about 10 seconds, cookie monsters mom came on the screen. He even know what is coming next before it happens!!!!
I think its time for some new episodes!!!
MomToMany replied: LOL!!! We quit watching it. It was the same episodes over & over. Got real old after awhile!
MommyToAshley replied: Poor Mommy! LOL! But, I think our kids are a little more forgiving. In fact, we hardly watch TV any more, Ashley would rather watch her DVD's on the Mac next to Daddy. LOL! I hear the same Barney and Sesame Street DVD's all the time.
loveydad replied: OH man Nickolodean and Disney are the same way about their shows. They get about 7 of them for the WHOOOOOOOOOLE season and then they show them over and over. Worst than that, my kids LOVE Lilo and Stitch - when that show first came out instead of showing a new one each week, they showed them all in one big MARATHON! Uh, stupid? I get sick of the same shows over and over.
I haven't watched Sesame Street all that much. My kids have certain shows they have to watch in their playroom
but 'd I'd be SO thrilled if I could find a copy of the episdoe they showed when hen was about ..3 or 4 about one of the hosues catching on fire. I remember him being so terrified! but He'd liked to see it agian.
kit_kats_mom replied: Oh, I know! Same with Higglytown Heros. I think that the kids don't mind since they get to anticipate what will happen next but OMG it grates on my nerves.
AmyO replied: Yeah I can know the script by word. I wish they would show some new ones, but I notice that with all the pbs shows. Makes me crazy!!!!
Momto2lilboys replied: Oh man that is so annoying we rarely watch tv just dvd's (Atleast the boys don't0 But Caleb's new obsession is Wiggles so I hear the same annpying Wiggles songs over and over and over. Some of the dvd's even have songs that are on another one.
DansMom replied: I think it's true that they only make 6 episodes a year (someone at work told me that). We're sick of them all too. Now Daniel will say "NO, NO, NO Sesame Street!" And he likes repetition!
kimberley replied: lol yeah they do need new eps. my boys could never get into sesame street. they didn't like it. it was all blue's clues and polka dot door here . and jade is into Boohbah
ammommy replied: Yeah, that's annoying. I really hate it when they marathon a show to premier a new episode. Dora, Higglytown, and JoJo's Circus have done that recently. I think I read something that said that a child needs to repeat something 700 times before it's mastered. Ok, fine, but does it have to be all in one week
5littleladies replied: My girls watch tv for an hour in the morning so I can get a bit more sleep and I've started rotating through all the kids channels (PBS, Nick, Disney, and toon Disney) each day. Then they get a bit more variety. If that's possible.
Celestrina replied: What's the matter? How could you get sick of "toot toot, chuga chuga big red car", or "Hot Potato?" j/k. One question about the wiggles - is Captain Feathersword on crack?
Hillbilly Housewife replied: I can SOOOOO relate..... I liked them too...at FIRST. Now, I run out of the room...they're CREEPY.
BUT..... Emilie has this 1 1/2 foot high dancing yellow boobah.... and zach and Em each have this gigantic stuffed boobah. I got them for 10$, sale from 39.99...... as much as *I* hate them, I won't take them away from my kiddoes.... they love them! They sit on them, sleep with them.....
Ugh.
*A present for the Story-people!!*
Ew.
My2Beauties replied: Those Boohbah guys look really scary to me!
