scary animals
cameragirl21 wrote: this is NOT a question about which one you'd least prefer to have attack you or something like that and does NOT assume any will attack at all, just a question of which you'd be most afraid of should you run into while out and about, minding your own business. i chose the cobra as that is the only snake i am really afraid of because i don't like their sinister hood. most of the other animals i'd probably approach at will should i see them in the wild and some, such as the shark, gator, panther, etc i already have approached in the wild, which btw was not smart and i'd not recommend it. that's not to say i wouldn't do it again, though.
PrairieMom replied: I don't know how you pick something like that. each situation that I would come in contact with those animals would be different, and if it happened with any of them I would have to change my britches.
In the end I voted the cobra. I had to boil it down to simple things. spiders in my house don't scare me, puppies don't scare me, fish don't scare me, but OMG if there were a snake in my house I would die on the spot.
cameragirl21 replied: i had a snake in my house once, idk how it got there but i just picked it up and put it outside. normally i am fascinated by snakes, whenever i see someone with a huge snake out and about (we have those guys in miami who hang out in hot spots like south beach with a large, 40 pound snake that charge you to get your pic taken with them) i always ask to hold the snake. i would never own a snake though, because i could never feed it live mice or anything like that. but cobras i don't like, i don't like the hood, they are sinister. btw, this is not to assume the snake would be in your house but rather that you'd be out hiking in the woods or in your case, the prairie and you'd run into a hooded cobra. that is how i meant it.
luvbug00 replied: SPIDER no ifs and's or buts about it.
PrairieMom replied: yeahhh. I don't hike. I don't mountain climb, I dn't go caving and I don't swim in the ocean. (deeper than my waste) so... Pretty much the only way I would cross any of those animals would be if they knocked on my front door.
HuskerMom replied: I wouldn't want to run into any of them in the wild so it was a hard choice, but I chose a bear.
gr33n3y3z replied: I picked a bear also My post got lost cyber space unless I hit the wrong button
MomToJade&Jordan replied: The black widow. I'm not a big spider person to begin with, but they are just so sinister looking. Beautiful, but oh so sinister looking.
Calimama replied: It depends really. A spider I can crush with a shoe.. a bear not so much. Kind of a hard question to answer, but I picked the bear.
C&K*s Mommie replied: being the scaredy cat that I am-- I'd have to say all the above. I could not pick just one. Creatures big and small it does not matter- they all give me the heebie jeebies.
lisar replied: I said a shark cause its the only one I wouldnt be able to shoot if it was comming at me. I have see a bear, I have NEVER seen a cobra and dont think I want to, but I have seen enough poisnous snakes to make me shoot them, and for the alligator heck I am not to scared of those they are pretty common here where I am in the woods in the water, but I am not gona go and play with them the racoon or the bat I have bats that fly in the woods on my property and racoons well they got into my trash the other night . The mountain lion I know I wont ever see and the panther I have never seen one but I would love to see one I think they are so pretty, I would keep my distance, the wolfs are pretty also we have coyotes around here that run wild in the woods behind my house. My neighbor had to shoot one cause it was trying to get his dogs, the trantuala or the scorpion I dont like. DH actually shot a spider cause he doesnt like them. And the scorpion he had one on his pants the other day and he stripped his pants down and realized he had his work boots on so he cut his pants off of himself cause he was so scared of them. I dont wanna get bit, but I know the ones we have here will not kill us. It will just hurt like crazy. So that is why I picked the shark.
Sorry for the long explanation.
Farelle replied: Since I am sitting here watching Shark Week on the Discovery channel, I'll have to say...SHARK!!! Yikes! Although most of the others would cause me to have a near heart attack as well!!!!
My friend actually had a black widow spider in here refridgerator!!!!!! It hitched a ride home from the grocery store in her bag of grapes!! OMG (so you can add grapes to that list!! ha ha) Thankfully she saw it before it found its way out of the fridge and they....disposed of it properly....<splat>
