i guess somebody upstairs is trying to help out. he's got another interview with a differant company on tuesday, doing something that he describes as his "dream job". he is very excited, but it is very hard for me to be optimistic.

but, as i mentioned, we have no money, at all, right now. we are going to borrow $2000 from my dad so we can make it through the next month. looks like we'll be moving at the end of december. not exactly the "baby's first christmas" i was wanting, but i think we'll be moving to my home town where all my family is. that is my only bright side in all of this. if he gets the job we will be moving into a duplex, and if not we will move into a 3 room apartment my family has. should be interesting.

I know how it is! About a year and a half ago, Rick's contract was up witht he company he'd been working for and they didn't renew b/c they had cut budgets..so he was looking for a job and it took 4 months!!! He's got about every IT certification you could dream of..microsoft, cisco all of it..and you know there are a bloody million ITt jobs...well everyone he went to, he was OVER QUALIFIED FOR..so they said..but ya know..we didn't care..we just needed some income!
Anyhow..in the end, it DID work out for the best b/c it gave him the gumption to start his own career with a friend and that IS his dream job..so now he's doing that and he has found an IT job that maximizes his skills..so he's happy! I know it's so hard to stay positive..but hopefully he will get his dream job when he goes for this interview!

jem0622 replied: Just wanted to offer support. We've been through a lot financially, but we are still together as a family. I was laid off in 2001 and it took 4 mos before I had work. I was collecting unemployment and had a severance package though. I am glad you have family that can help.

Sometimes moving is best and works to your advantage. Go where the jobs are.

I can't imagine being out of work and what we would do in a crisis---there is no savings, nothing, and I'm paying all my bills late as it is. I'll be sending positive thoughts for Barry to get this job! You guys need and deserve a break.
