booey2 replied: They all sound good but I think the rice crispies might be the best one as they will disolve easier then the other two. I love the puffed wheat myself but find with little ones it can stick to the roof of their mouth and be very frustrating to eat. Hope this helps.
Mommieto2Girls replied: I've haerd rice krispcies are good to start with , but I satarted with cheerios just cut in half and if she is ok with them then give whole.
amynicole21 replied: I tried rice krispies first, but Sophia had trouble picking them up since they are so small. Cheerios were much easier for her.
MommyToAshley replied: I did rice krispies and cheerios cut in 1/4. Then we went to cheerios cut in 1/2 and then whole cheerios.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: we started with cheerios... then puffed rice...now apple & cinnamon cheerios!
blooms21 replied: Cheerios to practice that pincer grasp. Always gave them whole -- even with no teeth! They melt in their mouth. Jonah hasn't had either of the other two yet.
ediep replied: we started with rice crispies, then 1/2 cheerio, then whole cheerio
~CrazieMama~ replied: I say cheerios. I gave my daughter cheerios first and she would suck on them and they dissolve pretty fast. She still has no teeth at 14 1/2 months old. She eat the multi-grain cheerios.
jdkjd replied: I think the Cheerios are easier for them to pick up than the rice krispies. But I tell ya, Bailey LOVES cheerios. We can actually get her to entertain herself while I cook dinner or while we eat with the cheerios. BTW, we just tried the Gerber Veggie Wheels-OMG, Bailey loves those things too...
They are basically puffed rice (or wheat) wheels with a little veggie thrown in. Very cool.
MommyToAshley replied: Ashley loves them too!!!!
amynicole21 replied:
Where the heck do you find these? I can only ever find the fruit ones, and Sophia doesn't care for them very much. I have looked at all the grocery stores in my area as well as BRU? I'm going nuts
jdkjd replied: I bought them at Target but I bet that Walmart carries them...
Mommieto2Girls replied: amynicole21 Posted on Jun 12 2003, 07:32 AM We bought Madison the fruit ones also and she HATES them, she throws them on the floor.
Mom2_my3boys replied: We started out with Cheerios. I just left them whole and Zach did fine. He only has 2 bottom teeth that are just through, and has no problems with them. About the Gerber Veggie Wheels. OMG, he loves them! I get ours at Wal-mart. Also the Zwieback sp? Toast is a favorite for him. I think he likes the feeling on his sore gums. BTW, the only way I'm typing this is because Zach is in his walker beside me eating Cheerios!! Sooo contently!
