religon question - Why do they do that??

redchief replied: It's a requirement of their faith, to try and spread it. No Mormons here, but Seventh Day Adventists have to do the same thing. I always invite them to discuss the Bible with me and direct them to Macabees. They say it isn't in the Bible and I laugh at them. It never fails to send them quietly on their way. I probably shouldn't do that, but what the heck, I didn't invite them; they invite themselves.

Usually just mentioning that I'm Catholic makes them run from our house Thankfully, everyone is polite and respectful. Not pushy at all unlike someone from one of the other churches around here who keeps trying to convert us.
