Kentuckychick replied: Definitely lots and lots of prayers being sent! Caydee had to have a spinal tap at around 7-8 weeks because she had a "fever of unknown origin" and wouldn't/couldn't eat. She ended up in the hospital for a week with the final diagnosis of an ear infection and UTI. You just never know with the little bitties.

We've had several cases of enterovirus throughout our daycare in the last several weeks and one of the children's fathers ended up having to be ambulanced to the hospital last thursday after being sick for a week. He ended up being diagnosed with viral meningitis (luckily the viral kind is the highly treatable kind - but still... scary).

I'd honestly never heard of an enterovirus until this year, but they seem pretty awful and every child responds differently. I wonder if perhaps Kade had something like that when he was sick recently.

I just hope everything goes well and that Carter is home safe and sound and healthy VERY soon

Mommy2Isabella replied: She just posted that his labs have all come back fine. They are waiting on a lung/chest x-ray to make sure there isn't an obstruction that is causing his difficulty to eat!

What a relief with the clean labs! Hopefully he was just having a "not feel so good, don't want to eat" kind of day and things will get better soon! Still praying

Oh that's good. Sometimes those reflux babies just appear like they don't want to eat as often as we'd like them to.
