pots and pans - what kind do you have?
mckayleesmom wrote: I really need some new ones. I want some none stick ones.
Anybody totally in love with theirs?
cameragirl21 replied: I have 2 sets of Calphalon cookware--one nonstick and the other stainless steel and I absolutely love them!
A&A'smommy replied: I have emeril pans and wolf gang puck which I'm not sure what the actual brand is dh told me but I forgot.. I love them though
mckayleesmom replied: I saw those calphalon ones at walmart today and was curious.
msoulz replied: We have Calphalon also, the non-stick variety. I know they have various qualities of cookware so I would wonder about the WalMart ones, but the ones we have are holding up nicely.
mom21kid2dogs replied: I have the professional grade Calphalon and I love them. I've had them for quite awhile now. They are heavy but things cook so evenly in them~I love them.
I got a griddle at Target and it has not held up nearly as well. It look a million years old already and I got it 2 years ago. It is non stick and decidedly not as great of quality as the professional grade stuff. It has worked well as a griddle~it just looks awful. So glad to hear you set has held up better!
cameragirl21 replied: This is what I have also, I got them at Bed Bath and Beyond and they were expensive but worth every penny. Idk if I'd be inclined to get the ones they sell at Walmart, they'd probably be of lower quality but IDk for sure.
AlexsPajamaMama replied: I have orange rachael ray ones and I looove them!
moped replied: I have lagostina and I love them
JocelynsMommy replied: I used to be a Pampered Chef consultant and I love thier Executive cookwear set. I don't do much cooking (my husband is going to culinary school so he does most of the cooking) but for a demonstration at one of the shows, I thew some sliced cheese (still in the plastic wrap) on a pan and let it burn. I let it sit n the pan till the end of the show then just took a paper towel and wiped it clean. The plastic, cheese, everything just wiped off.
gr33n3y3z replied: I have a emeril non stick huge fry pan and Calphalon professional grade I have 2 of these smaller size I hardly use those at all bc I dont care for those
But I have a full set of Farberware stainless steel from 1983 and it still looks like new and its used everyday
mckayleesmom replied: I'm definantly not getting any from walmart....I just noticed the brand there. The ones they sell at Walmart never hold up.
My biggest pet peeve is pans that don't cook evenly.
luvmykids replied: I have two sets, one is older than me, it was my grandmas and it's my favorite set. My other set is Cooks, I think it's JC Penney's brand and I really like them too, they're just not as heavy and high quality as the set I have from my grandma but the non stick skillets from that set are awesome.
jcc64 replied: I basically use three pots-- I have my granny's old "spaghetti pot", I have one mid-size saucepan, and a very deep All-Clad frying pan, which was originally supposed to be a gift for my s-i-l, but I loved it so much I kept it. Ridiculously expensive for a pot, but it was marked wrong, and we benefited from the mistake. I can't live w/o that pot. Dh is dead-set against nonstick cookware- we don't have any.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: I only cook in stainless steel anymore since I read/heard so much about teflon leaching into the food and the air when it was heated. The final blow to all my non stick was a 20/20 I watched where they showed the quality of the pan really did not matter-it happened to all teflon cookware Anyway I replaced all my pots and pans the next day with a Tramontina set from Walmart that have actually held up extremely well...
Boo&BugsMom replied: Stainless steel Wofgang Puck set from Sams Club, and love them as well,
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Farberware, mostly. I would love a set of Salad Master or All Clad
DVFlyer replied: I don't know if I buy into the "surgical stainless steel" aspect, but someone I know went to their in-home demonstration. He said it was VERY impressive.
But HUGE $$$$
Hillbilly Housewife replied: uh....Meyer, I believe.
Jamison'smama replied: I have the Wolfgang Puck sauce pans and spaghetti pan but most of my cooking is done on my cast iron skillets and griddles.
