pick an exotic - that you could realistically own
cameragirl21 wrote: ok, so i'm a little bored and putting off all the crap i need to do just a little. i love wild animals and would like to own one. i purposely left off the unrealistic like lions and tigers and bears, oh my! so if you could own any exotic (let's say it's free because some of those are very expensive to buy), which would you pick? i picked the lynx/bobcat which btw are two different animals but are in the same family. i'd also love a wolf or an ocelot.
amynicole21 replied: I love owls, but I'd rather have something I could cuddle I picked a hedgehog.
grapfruit replied: I said wolf. Mainly b/c Tim has always wanted a wolf. Although I don't see it happening if we ever want Homeowners insurance I can't lie to myself!!!
cameragirl21 replied: hedgehog is prickly, i don't think you can cuddle with it.
grapfruit replied: oOo! I've seen hedgehogs at the pet store! They're so Neat!!!!!! Can I change my answer???
amynicole21 replied: That's ok, I'm a bit prickly myself

Calimama replied: I wouldn't want any of those. I'd love a monkey, but those weren't on the list.
luvmykids replied: I picked racoon, my great grandma used to live on the St Johns River in Jacksonville FL and they were everywhere, a few were even allowed in the house
Boo&BugsMom replied: I chose wolf. A friend of our families actually had a wolf when I was small. he was raised just like any dog was and he was super friendly. I loved that animal!
I would honestly love a koala bear!!! They are my favorite! I can't do owl's...birds freak me out. I love all animals and they are beautiful, but I am paranoid of their beaks. Couldn't do a racoon either...I was chased by one. Yes, I said chased, but a dang racoon!!!
redplaydoh replied: I said hedgehog because I think they're adorable. They are wild here in Switzerland. Here they're called Igle pronounced very similar to Eagle.
Calimama replied: Did you have something he wanted?
Boo&BugsMom replied: Long story short...I was working at a daycare at the time and I had to open it at 6:30am. I saw a racoon stuck in our garbage can trying to get out. I happen to be on the balcony (the can was next to it on the ground below me) so I decided to be a nice person, take the broom, and push the can over to let him out. He decided to come up after me onto the balcony!!! I had to climb up the railings to try to get away from him, but he kept hissing at me and making these growling sounds. Here I am screaming at this racoon while climbing up the railing posts. He went down the balcony stairs so I decided to make a run for it. Once I got the key in the door he tried to come back up at me when he saw I climbed down. I quickly ran inside and closed the door before he got to me. I looked through the window and saw him staring at me like he wanted me to come back out and play. UGH! I don't like racoons anymore, to say the least! Ungrateful little stinker!!!
coasterqueen replied: I picked a raccoon, because that's realistic for me and where I live. We have them everywhere. DH's cousin raised several from the time they were babies and so did my sitter. They are kinda cute, in their own little way.
grapfruit replied: OMG! How scary! (and funny, since you are ok)
gr33n3y3z replied: since a lion or tiger was not on the list I chose the lynx
DansMom replied: Jennie, I had a similar experience---a raccoon was getting into my garbage on the back porch, and when I went to shoo him off he came running after me snarling and I ran back into my house!
I chose none---not into exotic pets at all. I have two cats now---I love them, but when they are gone I'm looking forward to a pet-free home. Traveling without making arrangements for their care. As you can probably guess, I only have one plant and it's not doing well.
DansMom replied: Jennifer, you should have had a reptile on the list
Boo&BugsMom replied: They are adorable creatures, but they can be so viscious!
DillsMommy replied: I use to have a friend who had a hedgehog. they are so cute.
3xsthefun replied: I picked a fox. I saw some around here last summer and they are beautiful animals.
MoonMama replied: I picked owl, but I'd like all of the above for different reasons.
moped replied: I don't like the choices - to be honest I would want a tiger........but that is not realistic
