phobias
CosmetologyMommy wrote: I am watching dr phil and it is about phobias. What is everyone's phobia?
kayla's mama replied: I am so scared to die in a car accident. I am a nervous wreck when I drive that when someone gets to close to my rear bumper I start having panic attacks.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Water
mummy2girls replied: heights.. to a certain degree.. i can handle looking out of a balcony on the fourth floor of an apartment but beyond that i get shaky. I cant go on a ferris wheel because of that. and glass elevators i can not go near the glass.. i have to stay by the doors:(
CosmetologyMommy replied: I hate airplanes. I rode one last summer and will never again! I am so scared of crashing and I kept thinking of that movie La Bamba...........
garrettsmom replied: Heights and water
BAC'sMom replied: Heights, Small places, Driving at night and Clowns just to name a few.
Brias3 replied: I think some of mine match others but I mainly put those in the "fear of" category. As far as actual phobias go, I have one really strange one that I've carried with me since childhood and that is a preference to my left side. For example, I always have to put my left shoe on first, brush the left side of my hair, put my left leg in a pant leg first, etc. WEIRD I know but I promise that's my only kooky thing
ilovemybaby replied: Drowning in the car under water (like if we had an accident and ended up in the water). And fire.
But the things I actually deal with are spiders (and other bugs) and heights.
My3LilMonkeys replied: Being alone in a strange place in the dark.
mckayleesmom replied: drownding in water, dying in a plane crash, elevators ...I will get on one, but I got stuck in one for 4 hours when I was 7.
My biggest fear is losing one of my children....Im constantly paranoid about things that others take for granted......for example....I don't like them riding in cars with anyone besides me.
luvmykids replied: How funny, I'm the total opposite, everything is the right side first!
My only real phobia is snakes, I can't even see one on TV or I will throw up, and if I see one on accident, guaranteed I will have a nightmare and hyperventilate. Dh thought he'd help me get over it, one time he hollered for me and when I looked out the window he threw a little garter snake at it. I cried and hyperventilated for hours after.
Edward's Mommy replied: Clowns, Spiders, Snakes, Death and Dying, being shot by a gun. I have a fear that Edward will stop breathing. Ghosts.
TANNER'S MOM replied: My daughter has a very real fear of Clowns. She can pass out. She can scream and cry! It's very awful for her!
Our Lil' Family replied: Confined spaces....so bad that I can't even have the covers over my head! I can only ride in an elevator if there are only a couple people in it, if I have no choice I have to look up or close my eyes.
danahas4monkeys replied: Birds, seriously they make me freak out I once passed out in a Walmart cause a bird had got in and was in front of me on the floor! Talk about embarrassing! Also water I cant touch bottom in or see bottom.
Dana
JAYMESMOM replied: Water-I have to be able to touch and feel safe. If anyone takes me out over my head I start to freak and can't stop until I am then on complete land. This also includes riding in a boat, jet-ski, tubing, raft, etc. --I cant get on/in those at all.
That and some driving situations -- high bridges cause panic attacks or if I get lost.
1lilpeanut2love replied: being alone and single
getting into a car accident again-- My SO and I got rearended pretty darn bad when I was 9 months preggo with Kaylee, it was the scariest day of my life!!!
spiders
heights-kinda of
riding in an airplane--never been on one and never want to be on one
being confined or closed in
...........This is all I can think of for now!! LOL.
zdk753 replied: Water & flying.
MM'sMama replied: Spiders!
EvesMom replied: Ladders, not going up, but coming down. I completely freak out!
Nina J replied: I have a phobia of snails. They're just so disgusting I can't stand to be near them or look at them, I've thrown up because people have put them on me They think it's so funny to show me snails, even though they know I'm terrified of them
I have a friend who has a severe phobia of blood. She dreads getting her period, and always skips tablets on the pill so she doesn't get it. But her doctor has told her not to do it more than 4 times in a row. So, every four months it's highly likely her DH will find her unconcious because she fainted at the sight of her AF.
crazymum replied: I hate clowns every since i was about 2 when my mum and dad took me on a family day out to the circus, i had a very bad panic attack and was rushed to hopspital. I also hate deep water and spiders and the dark
MamaJAM replied: Being in water other than a swimming pool -- I can not even go wading in a creek without freaking out. (Pretty odd for someone who lived in pools growing up.)
Oh....and I hate feet....I can not handle seeing people's feet or (heaven forbid) having them touch me. ICK!
