outfit help
PrairieMom wrote: This sunday DH and I will be becomming members of our church. We have to stand in front of the congregation, then we have to greet everyone afterwards. I don't fit into any of my chuch clothes yet, (I'm so inbetweenie) so I got to go shopping. well, 45 minutes and 2 crabby kids later this is what I came up with. Okay, HONESTLY now, i'm counting on y-all to not let me lok like a fool, what do you think? I'm not so sure about going sleeveless in church, although our church is a really informal come as you are type place. do I need a different top? if so, what the heck am I supposed to wear with this skirt?

Oh, and I know I need different underpants.
PrairieMom replied: now looking at the pictures I look so BIG! perhaps I need to go back to suqare one.
holley79 replied: I like it. I think you look great. You just had a baby for goodness sakes.
Bee_Kay replied: I think that's a darling summery-church outfit!! Seriously, that is my honest opinion!! VERY CUTE!!!
LOL @ the panties Definately wear a slip
BTW, I love the purple walls!!
MyLuvBugs replied: First of all....YOU LOOK BEAUTIFUL!! You just had a kid, so don't worry about your size.
I LOVE the outfit! If you're really uncomfortable with it, you can always get a little sweater or something to go over it....(maybe a slip too. )
Bee_Kay replied: I just noticed that your cleavage is RIGHT THERE in the first photo!! *chuckling*!!
No you don't look big at all.... OMG you JUST had a baby!! You look just fine!!
PrairieMom replied: yeah, I never really had clevage before! Thankyou Alexis! I noticed that about the pic too! i'm cleavin out all over the place!
Maybe if I hold ALexis in front of me the whole time she will hide some of my belly.
C&K*s Mommie replied: You look GREAT, Tara!! Honestly, especially since you are going to church in front of everyone, I would wear a shrug or a sweater (over the shoulders) or something over the top region, as to not show much when bending over.
You look fabulous! As Barb said, it is very summery.
PrairieMom replied: Me too. DH was a little freaked out at first but now he has embrassed color in our home! Everything in that bathroom is white except for the walls.
J-rod replied: i think you look very nice
Bee_Kay replied: I agree with a couple others.
I'd probably put on a little summery button up sweater.... the thin lightweight kind? KWIM?? Just in case you start feeling uncomfortable or something. (or at least bring it along).
luvmykids replied: You look great and I honestly think the outfit is just fine for church. Ours is very casual as well and I see women every week in clothes like that.
Boo&BugsMom replied: I'm sorry, I just about busted a gut when I read that! I hadn't even noticed until you said something!
Cute skirt by the way! Love it. I think it looks fine to be honest. When we became members I think I was wearing jeans and a blouse, nothing fancy, so you already have me beat.
coasterqueen replied: Oh I think you look great in it. I like it. What about wearing a light sweater or something of the sort over the tank?
BTW, I love your bathroom color too. My Dh on the otherhand would say he'd have to squat to pee in that kind of room, which means we don't get to have color like that in our house.
PrairieMom replied: its Minnesota vikings purple! can't get more mannly than football! I have a few little sweaters, but none of them will button around my belly, so I could just wear them open.
Bee_Kay replied:
With that outfit, even if the sweaters you have DID fit around the tummy, I'd still recommend wearing it open
PrairieMom replied: We are in SD, and don't have our own team, so our state had sort of unofficially adopted the vikings. Personally i could throw up over football. DH never used to like it either, but a few years back he ended up doing the webpage for the vikings through his work. He got to fly out to all the home games and take pictures on the sidelines and go up into the press box. He kept asking me to go, but seriously, I'd rather rip my own arm off. He always had loads of "friends" durring football season! I'm so glad he doesn't have to do that anymore!
moped replied: As Jack would say "I Lub it" I lvoe it!
Anyways, you look so good.......................
Bee_Kay replied: I started watching football a few years ago, now I look forward to August (pre-season)
I generally only watch a few select teams.... Vikings, Packers, Colts (Peyton Manning *wow* ), Steelers, Jets, Raiders (to watch Randy Moss), Panthers, Chiefs, Patriots.
CantWait replied: I think you look great and the outfit is perfect, especially for this time of year. Honestly if it were a church (which it doesn't sound like it to me) that worried about what you wear then it's not worth it IMHO.
Congratulations on finding your place of worship.
3xsthefun replied: I think you look great!
ashtonsmama replied: YOU LOOK GORGEOUS Tara! Jeez. Don't be so hard on yourself. It looks adorable together IMO--and especially if it's a more informal church, you'll be fine! You look absolutely AWESOME!!! What a gorgeous lady!
jaytrevjax replied: YOU LOOK GREAT! Don't be so hard on youself! Goodness, you just had a baby 3 weeks ago! The outfit is really cute!
