oh the morning sickness!!!
my2monkeyboys wrote: Yesterday after lunch I felt a little queasy, gagged a few times. No big deal. Last night after dinner, I got rid of ALL of it 20 min after I ate. That sucked. This morning, on an empty stomach I threw-up, and after I ate some toast I got gagging again. This REALLY sucks! What the heck??? I was nauseated, but never did I get sick with Will.... this isn't right. How am I supposed to get anything done around here when I can hardly move/talk??? It's a good thing God helps us forget about these times, or women would have quit populating the world a long time ago.
Any ideas to help with this? I really didn't expect it until at least another week (same as with Will, ya know. And yes, I'm seeing that this is obviously going to be a much different pregnancy.)
Edited: sorry... had to remove the "puking" smiley... it was making me ill.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Hmmm... maybe you're having a girl.
I never got pukey sick with my kids so I don't have any tips for you. I got pretty nauseated but only threw up once with each one. Well with Andrew it was for a whole morning but that was because I had a migrane. Any kind of citrus fruit always made me feel better, but I don't know if that would help when you're throwing up.
moped replied: Oh I am sorry - that is early too.........
I had it with both for a loooong time, heres hoping you don't have to endure it that long!
But how fun and exciting!
my2monkeyboys replied: Oh yeah, that's just how I think of puking, too!
Really, though, it is very exciting! I can't wait to get the dr. visits started!
ETA: My sister said the same about it being a girl, but according to the chinese lunar calendar it will be a boy. It was right about Will, but of course it's all just chance. It is fun trying to figure it out though!
My3LilMonkeys replied: Oh, I bet it will be a girl!! I never had a day of morning sickness or any kind of problems with either of my girls, but this boy is making me sick allll the time!
What works really well for me is ginger ale and crackers.
my2monkeyboys replied: Those are on my grocery list! I may have to pick them up this afternoon. Thanks!
abunky replied: i can relate , i never had morning sickness with either of my boys, but now ! oh geesh! , its bad , like i said i thought it was the flu but it was something else.
Calimama replied: You're so early, I hope it lets up a bit. I had it until right until 12-13 weeks but I didn't start it as early as you did. Hang in there.
HuskerMom replied: I didn't have it too bad with Keith but had horrible morning sickness with Summer. I would eat peppermints, that helped some.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Good idea... that reminds me I've heard that peppermint tea can help too.
Crystalina replied: That's really early. Hopefully it gets better before it gets worse!
I was always vomiting with my other two but **knock on wood** no vomiting yet!!
A&A'smommy replied: Oh don't feel bad I NEVER had ANY ounce of morning sickness with Alyssa but this time around I was sick until 20weeks and on top of that I got sick again this week It sucks!!!!!
I hope you get over it quickly!!!
boyohboyohboy replied: i found out at 6 weeks that we were having jake and i was throwing up at that time. i always say as soon as i peed on the stick i was sick.. the only thing that ever helped me was those motion sickness braclets from the pharmacy. i swear by those things, whether it was mental or not it worked.
Sam & Abby's Mom replied: That's what I was thinking!!!!!!!!!
my2monkeyboys replied: I'm thinking the little pea just didn't like the Wild West Shrimp I ate that night. I've still been nauseas, but not nearly that sick since then! I've been eating plain though... scrambled eggs, plain toast, plain grits for dinner last night. Saltines this morning. Hopefully that throwing up was just a fluke... I can't take that all the time!
