BTW, my aunt has epilepsy so if you have a few questions I may have the answer, but I say may, because I haven't seen her in years, I can only go off what I remember dealing with when I was younger.
cmmteaches replied: My 18 month old had one as well. I know what you are going though. My mom is epileptic and I had had pediatric epilepsy (goes away in childhood). Any questions, concerns... I'm here.
aspenblue1 replied: I hope everything went well.
jcc64 replied: Hi guys- Thanks so much for your warm wishes and thoughts. Noah was a champ- he really did well. I honestly was a little taken aback at how unsympathetic they were to the fact that they were dealing with a child. There was no effort made to alleviate any of the stress, or to make him feel more comfortable- to them- he was a slab on the table. He had to lie motionless for 25 minutes with his eyes shut. The radiologist gave him a stern lecture about how blinking will compromise the test and he'd have to start all over. I was able to be in the room with him and talk to him, but he couldn't answer me. I watched him work so hard at keeping his eyes shut tight- like I said- he was amazing. It was tougher than I imagined it would be. Thank God he's such a sturdy little guy. Will let everyone know the results when I do. Thanks again for your prayers.
sunshine girls replied: Good on him, he sounds like he did great. Isn't it sad when a doctor see's a patient as just a patient. Then when you go to a doctor who's compassionate to every person who walks through the door, it's amazing. I wish Noah could've had a doctor like that, but he does sound like a sturdy little guy
kimberley replied: what a brave boy! i am glad you both held strong thru it all and will pray for good results. i had the same treatment when James was in for pneumonia. i guess they see it so often they have lost the ablility to be sympathetic. awful, isn't it. to you both.
A&A'smommy replied: awwww WTG Noah!!! Let us know the results when you get them!!!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Oh Jeanne, I'm praying everything turns out okay. Sounds like you have a real champ on your hands! I had one done when I was 17 and it was scary then, I can't imagine at Noah's age. Poor little guy...I'm keeping him in my thoughts! You too!
