need christmas gift advice
J-rod wrote: will you all let me know which is the nicer gift?
both in 14k white gold
she only wears the wedding rings she said cause she afraid to scratch Kyan.... but i like the ring better than the necklace.
im getting her something with Ky's birthstone in it.
we getting small gifts cause we prolly gonna buy one BIG gift together if all goes well this christmas.

PrairieMom replied: i like the ring better. Is the stone low set? My wedding ring has a higher set stone, and it scratches easier, but I have noticed that the Birth stone ring my DH gave me is lower set, and doesn't scratch at all. I wish my Dh would give me a ring like that for Christmas.
TheOaf66 replied: I like the ring, it looks nice
sparkys2boys replied: ohhhh, I love the ring!! It's beautiful.. if your talkin to my DH.. let him know..lol!!!
hoosier momma replied: I vote for the ring also. She might worry about scratches now, but later she will worry about him tugging on her necklace and wanting to chew on it. So, you have baby issues either way you go.
MyLuvBugs replied: On gosh....they're both just gorgeous!! Good Job to you picking them out!! Can I have you speak to my hubby?
Personally, I'd pick the ring, but if she's not liking to wear a ring for fear of scratching Kyan, then you should probably get the necklace. I know it's not your top choice between the two, but it's her gift and you want something that she'll wear, right? JMHO.
PrairieMom replied: good point.
gr33n3y3z replied: The ring is very pretty I like that a lot You have good taste
J-rod replied: the ring is low set...you can see the prongs on the ends...kinda smoothed and act as a buffer.
lisar replied: Both of them are so pretty. I want both. I say if you cant buy her both then get her the ring. I wore my necklaces and I had to take them off due to Raygen wanting to hang from them. I really love both of them though. You have good taste.
lesliesmom replied: If the ring is set low and "buffered" I say go for the ring. It's beautiful. Great taste!!! So, when can you talk to my husband??!?!???
Calimama replied: The ring! It's gorgeous.
J-rod replied: well my original idea was to get a ring/necklace with at least four stone settings.
1. for her birthstone 1. ofr mine 1. for Kyan's 1. baby to be named later...
but my jeweler said i need to have all stones set at once...so thats kinda out of the question... so ill buy her something for each baby.
if your DH's need advice..email me. $5/hour consulting fee.
Calimama replied: Haha you mean you dont want to give her a necklace with an empty socket in one spot??
J-rod replied: i was going to have 2 diamonds set in there then get them changed out later...but the jewler said i cant do it for some reason.
Calimama replied: Wow that's a pretty smart idea. I never would have thought of that.
moped replied: am going against the grain and saying the NECKLACE is gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CantWait replied: I don't like the necklace, really like the ring though.
I think with the necklace she'll probably be scared that the baby will tug at it to hard so it's a catch 22.
Hey some of us were wondering where you were yesterday, glad to see you around.
kimberley replied: LOVE the ring!! wow, she is a lucky girl.
booey2 replied: Gonna vote for the ring, I have had too many necklaces and chains broken but little hands. They are both beautiful. I have yet to scratch the boys with my engagement ring and it is set like the one you want to give her, go for it.
Terri
J-rod replied: side view of the ring

that sits pretty low right.
booey2 replied: My vote is still for the ring. Maybe you should offer gift giving advice as a side job and earn extra moola.
Terri
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I like the ring too. It's beautiful and the setting is unusual. I agree with Tara, if it's low set, she shouldn't have any problems with scratching.
C&K*s Mommie replied: I have only read a handful of the above posts, so I may be alone in thinking this, but I like the necklace.
It is different, yet beautiful, also I think it is uncommon- which makes it stand out. The ring is nice too.
Boo&BugsMom replied: If you want a necklace rather than a ring what about a birthstone baby necklace? I have one with Tanner's stone on it and wear it all the time. When our new boy is born I hope "someone" gets me his little "baby" to add onto it.
Between the two, I like the ring, but I also like different things and think the necklace is pretty cool looking.

Here's a link to ones at Kohls, in case you didn't know what the birthstone babies looked like. Don't know if that's her style or not.
J-rod replied: yea i saw those at the jewler.... i may check them out closer now....seeing as how you can add to them.
My3LilMonkeys replied: I'm not a fan of the necklace.....but I think the ring is BEAUTIFUL!
And for the record - I have never scratched a baby with my engagement ring which is set somewhat similarly...but I have had 4 necklaces broken by little hands tugging on them.
Our Lil' Family replied: I'm the minority here too but I like the necklace!
moped replied: I still love the necklace where can i get it??
kristy-n-chad replied: That is my birthstone! I actually had a dream about getting a birthstone ring, almost exactly like that one. I have wanted that ring ever since, but it was $400 at a local jeweler, so no go on that one!
They are both gorgeous, but my vote is the ring.
quinnandjacob'smom replied: I'm going with the necklace too, but both are beautiful!
J-rod replied: the necklace is 1/2 price of the ring.....but i am still torn on which one. i may do a poll later today.
you can get the necklace in sterling silver instead of gold for $60 from zales.
Boo&BugsMom replied: AWESOME deal!!!
moped replied: Go silver!
Kaitlin'smom replied: I like the ring better
