My2Beauties replied: I don't like myspace neither. I caught Desiree's friend looking at it the other night on our computer and I made them turn it off, just from what I saw the whole entire thing was pretty raunchy and people post some really awful things on there for a site that children can be members of. I told her friend (who is 13, so a couple years older than Desiree) that we don't get on those types of sites at our house. Desiree had never been on there before and didn't really know what it was and I'd like to have kept it that way for as long as possible

Not all pages are like that though. Of course, you have the weirdos out there, but I think the majority of people use it to keep in touch with old friends. I do agree that children shouldn't have pages though, and children should always be monitored when on the computer.

I agree. I have a page, my husband does, all our friends- even my inlaws! No one I know has a raunchy page. I use it to talk to friends & people I used to know when I was younger. Two days ago I found my best friend from elementary school, before we moved, and I was SO EXCITED to have found her. I cant wait to keep in touch with her now.

I've heard about some teens/ppl having racy sites, but I guess I just dont get why they would...and if you have a teen, of course, you should monitor their internet usage.

yeah I'm happy i closed it. I have the person/ people i want in my life and i see no need to keep it open any longer. all of you are just a forem away and lars & my other good friends i can e-mail or call. so I don't need it anyway.

ps. myspace is not all that bad but you just need to be aware of what is going on. without it i would never have found lars and so i'm thankful for that much.
