my day yesterday
huggybugboy wrote: It started off awesome. I had emailed 15 resumes the night before. Then that morning I got a phone call from a school (the same school my cousins go to) that they wanted me in for an interview that afternoon! SWEET! My first interview FINALLY. So, I put Miles down for a nap so I could get ready. He slept for only about 40 minutes so I had to do the rest with him whining at my feet. Then as I was feeding him lunch...
A FLIPPING MOUSE RAN ACROSS MY KITCHEN FLOOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG I was freaking out. As if the stupid ants weren't enough. So I went to the management office and the lady said ok, and took my name down. I explained that I wasn't going to be there because I had an interview in an hour. She said "Oh, no problem, he won't be there until next THURSDAY!!!"
"SO YOU MEAN TO TELL ME I HAVE TO LIVE WITH THIS MOUSE IN MY HOUSE UNTIL NEXT THURSDAY???"
Yeah, she says.
again,
Anyway, I left, had my interview (which I thought went really well) came home, and will NOT go barefoot anymore. Waited for a call saying I got the job, DIDN'T get the job , and then got a phone call from my friend who said she's moving to Kentucky in a week Which means I won't see her again until who knows.
I went to bed crying. I'm so glad it's a new day.

redchief replied: You could set traps yourself.
ETA: congrats on the interview, and good luck!
gr33n3y3z replied: Heck with that week stuff Just go buy a mouse trap and stick peanut butter on it and put it behind the fridge and you will have you little friend in a day or two
I hope you get the job you want
stella6979 replied: Yes, but please don't use those sticky traps. Those things are just horrible.
Kaitlin'smom replied: I have a couple cats you could borrow for a couple days.......
sorry you had a bad day hope today is better.

CantWait replied: Hun sorry. Those little critters are the most nasty thing God put on this earth, next to cockroaches.
Sorry about your friend. We're lucky we live in this day in age where there's so many options to keep in touch.

I would have freaked out about the mouse too....set your own traps would be my recommendation. No sense in living with an unwanted guest till Thursday! (Or you could buy "There's a Mouse About the House" from the book sale for Spencer and make a joke out of it). I know, I know, nothing funny about a rodent on the loose.
C&K*s Mommie replied: Sorry about the job not working out in your favor.
Hope you can catch the little critter soon, yourself.
Hope Miles takes a nice long nap for you today.
huggybugboy replied: LOL. you guys are sweet. I did set some traps. We pulled out the fridge and there is no possible way to get in through that way so it must have come in by the dishwasher, which is weird since its in the middle of the apartment (oh and did I mention I live on the 2nd story?? ) weird. Anyway, we set a trap behind the fridge but we cant near the dishwasher because Miles would get it. So we put one out at night. I tried to use it as an excuse to get a cat but dh won't budge. Stupid allergies
Anyway, I am having a much better day today, even if I am still unemployed.
