mattresses
Kaitlin'smom wrote: question for you all I am in the process of getting Kaitlin new bedroom funiture and think we finally decided. We are going to start with the bed, and of course she will also need a mattress for it since it will be a twin and no longer will her toddler one work.
what kind did you get? where did you get it? about how much did it cost you?
coasterqueen replied: Oh crap, I don't remember. Dh isn't here to ask either or I would. I'll bump this up for you though.
BTW, we honestly just layed on a bunch of mattresses and picked. Dh and I both agree that Kylie's mattress is a lot more comfortable than ours.
mom2my2cuties replied: Sam's club has some AWESOME comfortable pillowtops twin mattresses. I think the WHOLE set - Mattress & Box Springs are $500. I LOVE them...they are so comfy and soft and cuddly.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: uh... from my mom?
I don't know... zach's bed was my brother's bed when he was younger, and the girls bunk I bought from a neighbour, mattresses and all... my bed has the only mattresses we ever bought, it's a queen set, and cost us about 1600 dollars for the mattress and box spring.
I'm guessing a couple hundred dollars... ?
ediep replied: we got the bed frame from a furniture store and the mattress from sleepys. I think it was about 500$ and it is a Sealy
Kaitlin'smom replied: hummm or more like eeek this is gonna get costly.
mom2my2cuties replied: I was just looking on Sam's website and it looks like you can get one fairly reasonable. Mattress is $329 & Box Springs is $82
Kaitlin'smom replied: thanks to bad that coudl not be reversed not sure we will do a box spring right now might make it to high.
mom2my2cuties replied: Yeah I can't believe how expensive they are. We are paying close $1500 for the set on Andy's bed.
We went ahead and used both - it seemed high, but she has no trouble getting in and out of it.
I will post a picture and show you once I manage to get her room cleaned up I keep meaning to show everyone her new bedroom suit anyway and this gives me an excuse.
Kaitlin'smom replied: I forgot I had to buy a new one for her I was pricing funiture then it hit me that she will also need a mattress I think I will be trying to put some of the funiture in lay-a-way and pay as I can afford. Might take time but eventually she will have all new funiture.
mom2my2cuties replied: We did a "rent to own" thing on Andreas bedroom. It's beautiful, but some days we really realize how much we are paying for that convience
We saw her exact bedroom suit somewhere else for like 1/3 the price we are paying for it.
Kaitlin'smom replied: ya thats why I wont do the rent to own thing they are so over priced in the end. I had found a bed room suite on lie we both liked then I started reading the reviews and found most people were really unhappy with the qualty of it, the nightstnad was the only pice to get good reviews, with that I dont want the hassle so I am going to get one we saw before, its a bit more but I have seen it in person and it looks liek it woudl deffinaly hold up for many years. Which is what I want.
TheOaf66 replied: we got tanners at sams club, it really worked out to be a good deal
