TheOaf66 replied: I have said Jennie was sick if she didn't want to go somewhere. I have never faked sickness to get out of work, I have to much of a work ethic I think.
Old Mom Hubbard replied: Well, I would never! But, of course I have!
Due to a sexual harrassment issue with a boss years ago, and during my complaint process, I called in "sick". He ended up getting FIRED thogh. I was offered my position back too, with a pay raise. But no, decided to go back to school and stay out of that game for awhile.
stella6979 replied: When I first started working (age 16), I did tend to call in sick quite a bit. As I grew up though, I learned the importance of working so I try to be here, even if I am sick.
Calimama replied: Yeah, for school a lot when I was younger. Not so much now.
Boo&BugsMom replied: I'm guilty. Especially when I was in jobs that I really couldn't stand. I even remember my same grandma dying twice when I was in high school when I worked at Walmart.
ETA: I am proud to say though that I have NEVER once called in sick to my daycare parents since I have been open with my daycare in the last almost 3 years. In fact, I've only had to call in for an emergency once (Tanner's ER trip) and call in sick once when Tanner was the one really sick (flu). Any day I have had off other than those two incidents, they were pre planned. Although I will admit lately, I've been really tempted to just call in one day because I am so tired and exhausted lately.
C&K*s Mommie replied: I used to every now and then. Not so much anymore, if I do not feel like going in to class than I just do not go- I call my instructors to let them know I am not coming in, but leave it at that.
gr33n3y3z replied: nope I fake sick so I dont have to deal with certain people
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I never had to. I was sick all the time. I would fake being WELL so I could go places as a kid.
HuskerMom replied: I never did at work cuz I figured then I'd get sick for real But in middle school and highschool I faked being sick a lot.
holley79 replied: I was only "sick" once since I have been out of school. I was so paranoid all day thinking I was going to really get sick though.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Heck yeah! I skipped so much school that my last year of high school, I was 3 classes away from expulsion.
DillsMommy replied: Well, since my mom is my boss, I don't think it would work now. Pretty sure she would catch on. But when I was in school, my parents would let me skip school occasionally, even if i wasn't sick.
