I just listed that set on ebay. I am working on another set now. Very lght mint green w/ blue moon and yellow stars. I have so many ideas in my head, but if they don't sell, then I don't want to do too many.

kimberley replied: thumb.gif cute!

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Good Job! thumb.gif

moped replied: How much are they selling for???????????

CCTandME replied: I am asking $35 + shipping. That's why I want to do craft fairs, to eliminate shipping costs. Do you think that is too much?

kit_kats_mom replied: Those are adorable. Perfect for a kids room. I'd say that if you were willing to do custom orders, you could probably make a killing at a kiosk in the mall during the holidays or at a flea market.

It's hard work but my ex made a lot of money at the flea market. He'd spend saturday and sunday out there doing small jobs and taking orders then he'd sit on his butt the rest of the week and do the random jobs he picked up from the flea market. He made a TON of money!

Would you be willing to make some for me for gifts if I gave you the colors?

loveydad replied: Nice! Great job!

CCTandME replied: I would absolutely love to do some for anybody who would like me to. My email for this kind of stuff (I keep it seperate from my regular email) is cbmbab97@hotmail.com. I enjoy doinf this stuff so much.
I actually emailed a local mall last year to inquire about a set up for the holidays. They never responded and I didn't persue it. Now I am ready. I get so excited thinking about it. I'll post links to other stuff I have done for my kids. Some aren't that good, but I am improving.

the small animals are what I call "add ons". Some I buy prepainted, others I paint myself. I still have more pics to load up.

GavinsMommy replied: I think they look really good! The only suggestion I might have is to make the swirlies and dots just a tad bigger. I'd also probably change the stool legs to one color. I would have painted them two colors to start out with, but then I would change my mind. I don't know, I just like simplicity.

Ya know...I just started doing that stuff too! I got some wooden trains and planes and stuff to paint for Gav's room. And a crate thing to set a stuffed toy in...and a shelf. But I RUINED the shelf. I didn't prime it before I painted it and it just screwed all up. You could see the wood grain, which some people like, but I don't...

But I think they look really great!!! Did you prime the pieces first? Were they wood or already white??

Keep up the work, I'd defitely buy them for 35...I think that's a little cheap actually. Maybe 35 for the stool, LOL...

CCTandME replied: yes I prime everything or use a wood sealer(2 coats). It's actually a long process.
I sand, seal, sand, seal, paint 2-3 coats(sanding along the way if need be.), decorate and varnish w/ 2caots. Yeah, I think your right about $35 considering all the time it takes, but I already posted that amount. Well, I'll try to get more at craft fairs.

jolene555 replied: I think they look great. I would, personally, love to see more stuff like that at craft fairs - the same old, same old is really getting, well, old! I have one suggestion, and it might just be me, but I would advise against hand-writing words on anything. I would use stencils or those small wooden letters you can buy - it could be as easy as printing out the words you want and mimicing the font. I've just always thought that handwriting was a bit too cheap (for lack of a better word) for my taste.

CCTandME replied: Thanks Jolene... I actually do have some stencils. I made a bigger wall coat rack for my niece. I wish I had a picture. That turned out so nice. I stained it a country blue, stenciled her name and put a few flours on the bottom. I'll have to see if she still has it so I can take a picture.

ediep replied: very nice! I really like them
