You all know me, but i still found this kind of funny that he would say to wake her - i will NEVER wake a sleeping baby!!!!!
Calimama replied: Does he have kids?
lovemy2 replied: He has never been ruled by a Sleep Nazi obviously
sparkys2boys replied: OK, time for a new doc..lol!! I can see if she was jaundice or not feeding andwas under weight (which I dont this she is either) that he would suggest this. But other then that u NEVER wake a baby.. and you pray that they sleep for hours on end
grandma replied: I would never wake a sleeping baby either, even not as per parent's instructions...lol
moped replied: yes he has 6 kids!!!!!
kimberley replied: he might have 6 kids but he's a doc so i bet his wife did it on her own.
i wouldn't wake her either.
booey2 replied: She looks nice and healthy I wouldn't dare wake a sleeping baby unless they were jaundiced and needed to feed. You are doing a great job.
Danalana replied: So it's not a good idea to wake them up?
A&A'smommy replied: UM is he insane???? Thats funny
A&A'smommy replied: oh you can wake them if you want to but um I wouldn't, if their sleeping thats extra time to either be sleeping yourself or doing something you need to like shower

:.Mrs_Mommy.: replied: My son woke and ate every 2 hrs and when my daughter slept for 8 hrs straight and then drank 5 oz of formula on her first day home I was a bit worried. But I talked to my dr and he said every baby is different and she will wake when she is hungry.
Ya know, that girl can still put away a huge amt of food!! But she is healthy and not overweight so... I guess he was right. They will eat when they are hungry. (unless of course the baby had med reasons to be woken up and fed.)
Cece00 replied: Yeah my last 3 babies slept through the night by like 2-3 months. NO WAY would I ever wake a sleeping baby, esp mine...why would I do that if they are sleeping all night???
AlexsPajamaMama replied: alex slept through the night at 2 mons old, I thought it was okay for them to do that, weird how the doc said to wake her, its not like she is hungry or she would let you know and she isnt under weight
luvmykids replied: I have never heard such a thing I remember awhile in the beginning when they woke (on their own) about that often, but that was especially the reasoning to NOT wake them when they started sleeping longer
