Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful late summer day:

And from much earlier this summer, one of the better pics I've taken---boys and popsicles (Mel, that's Daniel's cousin who broke his arm very similarly to Tanner's break):

kimberley replied: wub.gif aww looks like fun! he is so cute!

amynicole21 replied: Beautiful pics... makes me feel like I'm there instead of this oppressively hot and humid sub-tropical hell I'm currently living in wink.gif

TANNER'S MOM replied: Oh that looked fun.

Reminds me of being a kid.. never to old to fly a kite or eat a a popsicle..lol

Oh I wonder if Tanner will get a sling...

He said he wants an orange cast..and he wants us to paint 01 on it like the General Lee...lolol

I see your Nephew is still playing..

When will his cast come off?

CantWait replied: Holy wow, what a great looking family.

Sarah&Mackenzie replied: He is so cute!!! I am glad that kids can enjoy just regular old kite flying instead of being in front of the tv or playing video games!!!!!

My2Beauties replied: That looks like so much fun and Dan is so handsome - those eyes! wub.gif

DansMom replied: Mel, the popsicle picture was taken earlier this summer, shortly after the injury. He jumped off the monkey bars and we're not sure exactly how he landed, but the wrist bones broke clean and telescoped (I wince just thinking about it!). They had to put him under and hang weights from his arm to pull the bones back into position. He wore a cast for six weeks, the sling was on for the first two, and he still wears a splint but no cast. The injury happened the last day of school, and he'll finally get rid of the splint by the first day of school. What a summer---and it was his writing hand too.

coasterqueen replied: OMG is he growing up! Wow, what a handsome little man!!!! wub.gif
