luvbug00 replied: at a family owned high end jewelry store
bawoodsmall replied: I just realized i am a dummo of course sahm are the most important job. Duh for me.
lisar replied: I am the office manager of an electrical contractor. Full time 45 hours a week.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: I stay home with my kids...and when dh gets home, I go and teach music at a music academy not far from where I live. I teach from about 12 to 16 hours a week.
grapfruit replied: I'm an insurance agent (I know glamourous right )
bawoodsmall replied: I guess I should have said I work in the office of a private golf club. I do normal office work, payroll... I have worked here for 12 years

My3LilMonkeys replied: I do payroll for the nation's largest baby photography company....if you had your baby's picture taken in the hospital when they were born, there's a 90% chance it was my company that took the photo!
TheOaf66 replied: I am a call center rep/reports analyst for a healthcare system
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I love my job! I'm a SAHM. My favorite question is "what do you do all day."
When Ethan starts elementary I'm going to work. I want to be a photographer.
Boo&BugsMom replied: I work part-time in the evenings for a chiropractor, but am looking for something else in the office healthcare field at the moment.
redchief replied: Depends on the day and time.
Today I'm billing for my family's plumbing business. Tonight I'm working on the ambulance (Last month of this I hope) Monday I'll be in the fire and safety inspection office for three days. Then it all starts over again.
PrairieMom replied: I am a full time stay at home mom, and a part time Respiratory Therapist in a 500+ bed hospital. For those of you that have no clue what that means... (People alway ask me, "sooo... you teach people to breath?!? " LOL I treat patients that have breathing problems like Asthma, COPD, emphysema, and things like that, plus anyone that has had a surgery. I run life support equipment, and treat all ages from Birth to geriatric, with the exception of the intensive care nursery with the premies. I hate it in there and pretty much refuse to work there.
but mostly I'm a mom. OH! and I can't forget I am a business owner, you know, Prairiemom creations... ever heard of it? I sell bows, and soon will be selling mommy and me crocheted hats.
luvmykids replied: Right now I babysit for a friend two days a week. I'm looking for a part time job though. In my former life I helped DH run our construction company. I will NEVER work for him again
coasterqueen replied: I work full-time as a business manager for a non-profit organization that lobbies for property/casualty insurance companies.
moped replied: I am on mat leave right now but my full time job is for a small oil and gas company - i am an engineering technician
bawoodsmall replied: I would prob rather axe myself than work with dh.
mom21kid2dogs replied: First and foremost, I'm Olivia's mom. Aside from that, I work in a contract position at our local Health Department. I do healthy head checks on 1000 kids a week. In general terms~I'm the lice lady!!! It's the perfect mom job~zero stress, 100% school schedule (I work only the hours O is in school) and I get to listen in on 7 to 10 elementary classes a day. The kids are a stitch and I really like most of my teachers. It's an awesome program~we check every elementary public school child once a week in our district and have a very low incidence of head lice as a result. Not glamourous, but effective
For 22 years before I had my daughter, I was an adoption/post adoption caseworker in a public children services agency. Although I'll likely return to this someday as it's my passion, the stress and hours don't mesh with who I am right now and what I want for our family.
A&A'smommy replied: Start now Aimee its NOT that hard to do that on the side.. as a freelancer and then you can go ahead and start building your clientele up!
I'm a SAHM I was going to start working full time at a daycare and decided not to because of all I have going on PLUS is was already starting to take up my time I use for my photography.
On the side I'm a freelance photographer and i LOVE it.. I have done mostly weddings and its a LOT of fun!!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I am a f/t SAHM. Before having kids I was a f/t special events and marketing coordinator. I plan to go back to work when the boys are in school f/t. Not sure what I want to do, but probably in events again or non-profit. Or I may even go to culinary school if I get up the nerve. I already have a bachelors degree, so the thought of returning to school, with people younger than me, is scary.
MoonMama replied: I am a full time SAHM, before Braedin I was a full time Nanny. The last year I was a Nanny for I was very blessed and Nannied for my older brothers best friends little girl. DH is an architect for big office buildings and big businesses mostly, which takes him all over the world at times.
Calimama replied: Nada, I'm a SAHM and I go to school full time.
CantWait replied: Far from NADA sweetie.
As for me, I'm a SAHM, although I do have my diploma as a medical administrative assistant. I'm leaving end of February for 6 months to work in Afghanistan as a retail attendant.
When I get back in September I'll pursue my administrative job, and do freelance photography.
stella6979 replied: I worked for Mountain Valley Water for six years up until August when I finally decided to quit. They were soooo taking advantage and I was miserable everyday so I said FORGET IT! Now, I am a SAHM and am hoping to do freelance photography as well.

maestra replied: I wish that you were at my school! I'm having a really bad problem with it.....
I am a first grade teacher (but taught Kindergarten for several years as well), in Arizona.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Well, I've done one wedding and I've done some other stuff, I'm just waiting on my camera. Hopefully I will get it for Christmas. I only have the 35mm SLR. I need to upgrade to digital. Well, I have a small digital, but you know what I mean.
I have a friend who said he would teach me about lighting, etc. He's a freelance.
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: My technical title is "Clinical Lab Scientist" But that's just a glamorized term for lab tech. I run lab tests. And I love it. I used to work 7 10 hour shifts in a row, then had 7 days off. But then I started a Monday through Friday position. I don't have to be at work at 6am anymore and honestly (don't think badly of me for saying this) I have more patience with Logan as a working mom than I ever did as a SAHM. So, now, instead of concentrating in hematology (which is still my first love) I am working in toxicology. Basically, if you ever had to do a pre-employment or random drug screen, I'm the one doing the testing. It's quite interesting, but the possibility of being served a subpoena shot through the roof when I took the job. Still love it.
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Rae, my mom is graduating on Saturday with her first bachelor's degree. At the ripe "old" age of 51. I say go for it. She's not done either, she's doing graduate work.
hoosier momma replied: I'm a dispatch supervirsor for the State Police.
lovemy2 replied: I am a tax accountant for a mid sized accounting firm - love it except from January to April 15th
A&A'smommy replied: OHH yeah I understand that.. and with everyone doing digital right now its in BIG demand. I hope you get your camera for Christmas. I LOVE what I do and I love how flexible that it is.. I recommend going ahead and getting photoshop if you can, oh and the lighting isn't hard at all!!
BTW I LOVE Your siggy!!!!
Danalana replied: I am an optical technician, and I am now only working part-time at Wal-Mart vision center. I will either continue that after maternity leave, or I will be a SAHM.
jem0622 replied: I'm a Sr. Technical Writer. Won't say where I work, but it is gov't contracting.
bawoodsmall replied: This may be stupid but what exactly does that mean? Sr. Technical Writer.
Jamison'smama replied: I'm a social worker but right now I only work part time teaching Parenting Classes.
msoulz replied: I have worked for an automotive supplier for 15 years. Since Erin was born I go into the office only on Wednesday and the rest of what i need to do I do from home or sneak in on the weekends, which is rare. I am the controller.
tammyhopkins replied: I am a combination of Virtual manager/ Analyst for a call center.
luvmykids replied: I admire you guys going for it with photography , it's what I would LOVE to do to, just don't have the confidence to go for it
Kaitlin'smom replied: well besides being Kaitlin's mom (my favorite) I work for an Insurance company. I used to work for the theatre (and hope to again SOON). I love running around backstage in utter kaos and working the show and the applause at the end makes it sooo worth it
CantWait replied: I'm with ya there. We both just need to do it.
My2Beauties replied: I work for one of the largest Distillers of Wine and Spirits in the US, I do their Domestic Payroll, we are global so we have another girl here who does the International Payroll. Basically, I ensure everyone gets paid, hourly union and salary employees, I post to the General Ledger, send out garnishment checks, reconcile accounts, do tax forms, etc. All the payroll stuff. I am also a mommy, which I love. Wish I could do the SAHM thing, but DH and I would go flat broke
MotherForever2043 replied: I'm a Genetic Nurse. I was going to school (except when I was pregnant with Jordan) and I finally got my liscence! Before I was a Genetic Nurse, I was a LPN, and then an IV nurse. So, I have experienced a few careers. Hopefully (I better ) stick to this one.
Crystalina replied: I used to be an activities director for Alzheimer patients.
I quit to stay home with the kids but I'm really itching to get to work again. I've been home for 6 yrs and I have one more to go. (sounds like a prison sentence but I really enjoy it ).
A&A'smommy replied: I'm not going to lie and say its easy.. but if you build on your work, practice with your kids and then take leap of faith and try it out its WAY worth it. I'm STILL in a process I got my lighting kit for christmas so thats going to help a lot
HuskerMom replied: I'm a SAHM. Before I had Keith I was in college. I had started looking for a job a few months before I graduated but then found out I was preg with him. So I worked at a daycare that summer and have been a SAHM since he was born. And the way it looks I'll be a SAHM for quite a while longer. The way daycare prices are here if I got a job my paycheck would just be paying for that so it makes more sense for me to stay home with him and his sister when she's born in march.
luvmykids replied: Thanks for the encouragement
