hubbies and baby clothes - that don't fit

mckayleesmom wrote: Has your husband ever done anything that just made you crack up. I went to the store the other day and when I came back he had given Mckaylee a bath and put her in an outfit that I know was too small cause I had tried to put her in it a day before and couldn't get her into it. She had finally grown out of her first preemie outfit sad.gif . Anyways, I don't know how he managed to cram her into it, but he did and when I got home she was in her swing and her body was all stiff from not being able to move so she was wining, dh asks me, what do you think is wrong with her,,,hmmm I wonder,,,she can't move...lol...She must have buckled her legs when he put it on her so he didn't realize it was too small, so I kindly informed him...lol

MommyToAshley replied: LOL! There ought to be a bleepers show for First Time Dads! LOL! rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

At least he tried! wub.gif

Mommieto2Girls replied: lol, that's funny , poor Mckaylee. My DH usually puts Madison in the ugliest outfit that he can find. The ones she never wears. Ugh drives me crazy. or he will find the onsies that have food stains on them and put that on her. I look at him like he is crazy and ask him "What were you thinking?" wacko.gif
Men will never understand. huh.gif

ediep replied: WHen Jason was first born, DH and I would take turns with the night feedings since Jason is bottle fed. Well, when Jason was tiny, he used to pee through the diaper every time, and he would be soaked through. Well, I got up to feed Jason at 1am, and DH got up at 4am. Well, in the morning, I wake up and look at Jason and he is not in his pajamas anymore but he is wearing a regular outfit. I was like, why did you get him dressed for the day at 4am? DH said he was wet and I didn't want to wake you and I didn't know where we keep the pajamas rolling_smile.gif

kit_kats_mom replied: My Dh is baby clothing impared too. he is always putting K in crazy outfits. Things don't match, are really wrinkled or stained. He's a mess but I knew it when I married him. This is the guy who lived in a house with a real live mushroom growing in the bathroom when we were dating. rolling_smile.gif He also made a comment about vaccuming, he said "you only need to vaccum twice a year" scuse me? My baby is not gonna crawl around on a dirty floor. rolling_smile.gif

I am rolling on the floor with laughter!

I guess thats why I dont let my DH get her dressed with out my help! He has no clue what goes together!

MommyToAshley replied: TLCDad usually does a pretty good job dressing Ashley. It's not too hard to match, almost all of her clothes are pink. hehehe. But, he doesn't like to do the shirts that go over the head, they have to button down or he won't put them on or take them off.

However, I am always putting socks on Ashley and he is always taking them off her. (We usually have the AC on so I think she needs them and he thinks she is hot.) LOL

CantWait replied: my dh always tends to set clothes out for Robbie that just don't match. wacko.gif
I'm also very picky though, I usually buy a certain shirt for a pair of pants and keep those together. Sometimes dh will use that shirt with a different pair of pants and then the other pair of pants don't have a shirt to go with them, so he uses something else. blink.gif Told ya I'm picky...

booey2 replied: Well I thought dh could handle dressing Matthew, boy was I wrong. After I had Thomas and Dh and Matthew came to visit the next morning I couldn't believe the outfit Matthew had on. I actually looked like he picked out his own clothes and dressed himself. Now you would think because he was coming to the hospital to see his little brother for the first time that he would be well dressed or at least matching. Noooooo, I ask dad and he said "I let him dress himself, I was too tired." Men ugh. So neeless to say he does not dress either boy to this day unless he HAS to.

jcc64 replied: My dh always manages to find the newborn outfit stuffed in the back of the drawer and cram my 9 mo into it. It's pretty comical.

MomToMany replied: blink.gif rolleyes.gif What are they thinking sometimes?? I just let him pick Hannah's clothes sometimes and let him struggle laugh.gif ; it's SO funny to see him squeeze Hannah into something she outgrew 8 months ago rolling_smile.gif !

I'm saving all her clothes because my sister is PG (due in November), so if she has a girl, I can give them all to her. So that's why I still have all her "little" clothes around.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: DH is the same way.... he wakes me up EVERY morning (usually) to ask me what Zach should wear. I used to answer *I really don,t care, let me sleep. it's 6:00.*

After a few times of realizing what Zach was wearing, thankfully I caught him before they left for the sitters, I'd put out 2 pyjamas and one outfit on Zach's tpop of dresser. That way DH had one pyjama to change Zach into if he had to change him during the night, and then he had one pyjama to put in the sitter's bag should she have to change him during the day. Then DH would just take the outfit and put it on Zach. The sitter has a few extra changes of clothes at her house that we switch around now and then too....in case of an extra messy diaper, or food or something.

Sooooooo........ I can sleep a little onlger in the morning, not having to worry about how Zach is dressed!

(I beat the syyyyyyyyysssss-tem........... lol)

Schnoogly replied:
OMG my Dh does this too! Puts weird things together, like a shorts romper with pants over it this morning. He thought they looked "cute" together !!! But this is the same guy who thinks that as long as he is wearing "green" pants and a "green" shirt (even though they totally clash--different shades of green) they "match."

And when I met him he hadn't washed his sheets in years. Eeewwww!

Kaitlin'smom replied:

ohmy.gif Eeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww ohmy.gif

Kirstenmumof3 replied: biggrin.gif AWWWW poor little baby! My DH has done the same thing! He seems to think the bag of baby clothes in her closet still fit her and they mysterously keep ending up back in her drawers biggrin.gif !
