how does your toddler say his/her name?

ediep wrote: this was inspired by KitKatsmoms post about her holiday......she mentioned something about how Katherine said she was being good. Anyway, it was so cute to "hear" how she says her name.

Does you child mispronounce his or her own name?

Jason says "shashon"

Kaitlin'smom replied: she says it Kate...lyn she kinda has a breif pause. It took her a while to say her own name I guess its a bit hard, but its sooo cute to hear.

and she calles Ashley...Ashwee wub.gif

MomToMany replied: Hannah calls herself "Na-Na". She CAN say Hannah, but it's a little harder for her I guess.

DansMom replied: Daniel says "Dannoo"

Usually in the context of "Dannoo do it self, too!""

~KARA~ replied: Maddison says her name pretty plain she says Maddison lynn like you or I would.
A few months ago Lynn sounded like win

MommyToAshley replied: I think Ashley pronounces her first name correctly. When she says her full name, she says Ashley Marie just fine but then she has a hard time with the "t" in our last name.

5littleladies replied: Brianna says-Branna. I just love this stage when they are still trying to get the pronunciation right! wub.gif As proud as I am when she says a word right, I can't help but be sad at how quickly she is growing up. bawling.gif

mummy2girls replied: Jenna doesnt say her name but will say her cousins name... Skyar her name is skylar. She cant get the sound of the l in yet...LOL.

kit_kats_mom replied: Katherine calls herself "Daffrin" and she calls baby Lauren "baby Warren" tongue.gif

DansMom replied: Look at your new avatar of Katherine!! Wow, she looks older! ohmy.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied:

I know what you mean. bawling.gif Maddie had a hard time with her L's and the first time I noticed she pronounced them correctly it made me proud, but I was so sad, too. bawling.gif

paradisemommy replied: Taven says his whole name correctly now but he used to say Mahkinny for his middle name..(don't know where he got that from)..it's Makamae..

too cute though..he'll go up to other kids and ask..."what's your name? my name's Taven and he'll point to himself" wub.gif

cary, your avatar is precious!!! kat looks SO big!!!!

booey2 replied: Thomas say Thomas plain as day but if you ask his full name he leaves out the Michael in the middle and says Thomas Thibault. We correct him but he continues to say "No, I am Thomas!" We think it is because Michael is DH's name and that is who he associates the name with and he is not his daddy. emlaugh.gif

amynicole21 replied: Sophia says her name correctly now, but she used to say Fia. Now sometimes when I'm angry with her and say "Sophia!" she says, "I not Sophia, I Sophia Dennis!" wacko.gif

coasterqueen replied: Kylie used to say her name correctly...she's having trouble with l's lately and I don't know why. She didn't have problems before. rolleyes.gif Anyways now she's saying her name "Kywee". She gets her last name right but she refuses to say her middle name. rolleyes.gif I call her booga more than anything so I'm just waiting for the day that she calls herself that. tongue.gif

jolene555 replied: I think Georgia is a little young to really say anything more than "ma ma ma" & "da da da", but I SWEAR that sometimes after I call "Georgia!" she'll call back "Dor Da!!" It's the cutest thing.

jcc64 replied: Corey says "Cau-wee". She's clueless to the fact that she HAS a last name.

jdkjd replied: We call Bailey: Bailey-Bob, Bailey-Boo or sometimes Joe. She'll say "I not Bailey-Boo, I Bailey Dabis!" (our last name is Davis)

FroggyJK replied: Brandon has a hard time with R's, so he says "Ban-don"

aspenblue1 replied: Isabella says "Bizabella"

Josie83 replied: 'Tassie" which I think is so cute, she can't really say her 'c's. She'll tell us she's Tassie O'Tonor, so sweet! She'll never call herself Cassandra tho xx

Jamison'smama replied: Jamison absolutely can't say her J's so she is ama (instead of Jama) and her soon-to-be-brother is ack

3_call_me_mama replied: Cameron use to call nim self "the my" but now he calls him self Cameron but usually says "cam-in" adn calls kathleen "caffine" It's really cute smile.gif

logansmommy replied: Logan usually says Owen isntead of Logan.

loveydad replied:
Oh my gosh, one of my best freinds has a daughter named Maddie Lynn (Get it, Madelyn?) they almost have the same name.

Henry always called himself Henny. He's still to this day, henny. "Henny tick" . and hes Henny to the younger kids.

Vincent was "Inkent." for a long time and Kel called himself "Kewl (kel only with that longer w sound). But Vincent called kel, Kel and Kel called vincent, "vincett."

My son matthew would always call himself him. everyone one was a him- even girls were hims. "does him want to play?"

Tracy is Tacy. Everything "tacy do it" "poor tacy"
Nicky seriously will go "Ick! ICKY!" if you take away a toy.
Andriana sometimes goes "dar" . I think that may be her name. LOL

Nicole replied: Cheyenne will be 3 in January! When she says her name it sounds like she says SHEANN it`s so cute! wub.gif wub.gif ( i think it`s because her name is so long but she`ll get it!)

So far she`s my only one to do that Dakota and Austin both said their name`s ok! wub.gif wub.gif

It makes me wonder how Grace will say her name...(she`s not even here yet but i wonder) wub.gif wub.gif

3_call_me_mama replied: Funny that we should be talking about this... Just yesterday cameron started calling himself by his first and last name... Cameron Roberts! He walks around saying, "Cameron Roberts, I'm Cameron Roberts" or " Cmaeron Roberts wants some cookies!" He has us in stitches! LOL!

Boys r us replied: He calls himself, Baby Bwaedon. lol

My2Beauties replied: Hanna says Na na or Haaaaaanaaaaaaaaa, real drawn out. We don't know if when she says Nana she is calling her great grandma who keeps her or if it's her name. I think she is saying her name because we call her great grandma "gandma" for Hanna and she has never pronounced anything near to that but she hears Hanna all the time so I think she is saying her name, but "gandma" swears up and down that that is Hanna's name for her... rolleyes.gif whatever makes her happy, it doesn't matter to me!

Sunflower04 replied: Joey can say his name correctly but he used to say Ooey for the longest.
