I know I'm love w/ my hubby because when he isn't here I try to think of little things to surprise him w/ when he gets home.

I know I'm in love when I understand what I want as opposed to the general well-being of my partner may not be the same thing and I'm open to not getting my way

I told my mom that day that I would marry him.

McKenna replied: I just her form the moment I set eyes on her, ended up taking me weeks to buck up the darned courage to ask her for her number, ended up having something like a 3 week relationship which ended when I moved for a job, then two years down the line I got invited by her to her 18th Bday, 5 months later I proposed and she moved to live with me, the rest in history.

We have had our ups and downs but he is my best friend.

I was in love with my husband for a few yrs before we got together. I was with my ex but our relationship was soooooo crappy, I was just sticking around for the kids. (BAD IDEA, FYI) It was hard to like him so much when I thought I could never have him. I was getting married to my ex & John (my current DH, he was one of my very good friends at the time...) told me he needed to tell me he loved me & if I was ever single he thought he could make me really happy & be a good partner for me in life. Well, my ex & I broke up (he was cheating...) and I decided I would take John up on his offer & give a relationship a try, since we were both in live with each other & never knew the other one felt like that. It was scary, because I knew if it didnt work out, I would lose my BF. Well, less than 2 months later we got engaged and about 2 months after that we got married. We've been married 2 yrs (well, on Mon the 27th it will be 2 yrs) and we've had 2 kiddos and we couldnt be happier.

When I am/was with him I was smiling
When I wasn't with him but knew he was in my life.. I was still smiling
He makes me want to be a better person
For the first time in my life I am content and could not ask for anything more
