I'm Mollie, a SAHM to 5; 3 boys and 2 girls. We live in northern Minnesota, where it is VERY cold as well. My older 2 boys didn't have school today because it was so cold.

I've heard you can skate on the canals, and that there is a beautiful greenspace surrounding the city. I think of Ottawa as a kind of paradise, even though it's cold, because I love to skate.

father of one replied: hi everyone tks for repling ,and yes you can skate on the canal its about 10 miles long, and along the way there is huts where you can warm up and get drinks or just sit along the many fire were you can warm up and look at the many ice sculptures
