Crystalina replied: Well, when Gene and I got engaged in '92 we actually went to OM to get our pics done. And I was SO MAD that we paid extra for our picture to be in the wine glass but there was a mix-up and we never got that one. They threw in a free 8x10 for our trouble.
I really wanted that wine glass picture also. 
Kentuckychick replied: Ya know what's sad... we probably all have some of these photos in our homes... I mean I know we have some old Olan Mills ones with the library background (actually I'm looking at one right now of my brother and I when I was one where we're sitting in front of that background reading a book and it's one of my alltime faves!). They were the "in" thing back then. Things go out of style and may look tacky now... but that doesn't mean they did then. My dad drove around for years in a Gremlin thinking it was awesome for goodness sakes
And I have to kudos the photographer of the pic with the family and all the kids because that is NOT easy. Seven kids ALL looking at the camera and all with at least halfway plesant expressions. That's pretty comendable!

Growing up that is the only place we went for pictures. Back then Olan Mills, IMO, was a good photography studio compared to a lot of these places today. At least it seemed more professional than going to Sears or JcPenny's. But obviously they aren't like professional photographers.
