feeling insane - HELP!!!!!

due_any_day wrote: i hate waiting for something exciting. always have. i'm not a patient person so waiting until maggie is born is downrignt unbearable. its driving me nuts.

any suggestions to keep me from calling my doctor and asking to be induced? or finding ways other than the really "fun" one online to try at home? because i cant find enough distractions at home and dont seem to be able to walk enough without thinking of how badly i want to not be pregnant anymore.

if anyone can give me some advice i'd be glad to take it.

kimberley replied: i was 11 days past due with Jade so i completely understand that stir crazy feeling. i think we tried nearly every home induction remedy except castor oil. that was too gross for me. we did the pressure point massage, nipple stimulation, ate pineapple, bd, walked and walked and walked... gosh, i can't even remember them all.

do you like to cook? maybe you can keep yourself busy by preparing soups or sauces that you can keep in the freezer for fast meals once baby is here. what about sewing? i dunno. i am sending you lots of ~~~~come baby~~~~ vibes!!

due_any_day replied: i bought a card game i've never played before and i'm learning how to play it so thats a plus. its keeping me mostly distracted. and i re-discovered the television. i stopped watching it for the most part when seventh heaven started getting a little too goofy and they cancled buffy. but seventh heaven has gotten interesting again so thats something, right?

still feel a mite twitchy though to be honest tongue.gif biggrin.gif laugh.gif rolleyes.gif

A&A'smommy replied: OH I do NOT suggest being induced its NOT fun its actually makes labor harder and MORE painful and in my case I ended up with a c-section. SO as for FUN ways to get induced LOTS of baby dancing seriously its proven to induce labor (i'm not going to say why on here I'm might offend someone LOL) uhhh well there are other way walking but I hear that is an old wives tale but its worth a try PLUS it gets you "ready" or well in so many way to have the baby. I KNOW how you feel I was SOOO ready to have alyssa and then when I did I was in AWE of how beautiful and "weird" it was... Anyway keep us updated, and before you go to the hospital let us know!!! wub.gif

OHHH btw what is going on with 7th heaven I have missed SOOO much! Is lucy pregnant, and what did mary have a boy or girl?

MommyToAshley replied: Oh boy do I remember that feeling!! Do you have everything ready for the baby? My favorite thing to do was to get the baby's room and clothes ready... I usually sat there and day-dreamed about what our baby was going to be like. wub.gif That occupied a lot of time, LOL! You could also come here and chat with us, we're a pretty entertaining group sometimes.

So, when are you due?

due_any_day replied:
i'm due in three days. i'm so desperate to get this done with. when i moved i didnt want to switch doctors because of how late into the pregnancy i was so i'm staying with my dad and step-mom until maggie *finally wacko.gif * makes her grand entrance. but DH, because of work and trying to get back into the army has to stay at home an hour away so i'm not around him and i really want to be.

the only upside to him being far away is right now when i call him to say hi he panicks and for whatever reason....its really funny to hearbecause of how badly he tries to hide it..... rolling_smile.gif its cute

Boys r us replied: Awe..bless your heart!! I remember that feeling..

I went to the mall a lot my last week b/f I had Braedon and just walked and walked and walked...and it hurt SOOO bad, but if it would help, I was willing!
I also walked up and down the stairs and I had an L & D nurse tell me to sit in a chair backwards, that the straddling position would help me dialate. All of that together I went from barely 1cm dialted to being dialated 4cm in 3 days!

Kirstenmumof3 replied: I never made it to my due dates! But I rememeber with my DS that last 2 weeks seemed like forever! With DD #1 I was 2 weeks early and with DD #2 I was 3 weeks early. But it seemed like forever! Take nice long walks to get your body ready for the delivery and I agree with the baby dancing, it does work to induce labour! wink.gif

due_any_day replied: DH is coming up for the weekend. wink.gif very happy about that. and maybe i'll go home with him with a baby in my arms. that'd be fantastic. so just pray that what we try this weekend is safe and works well. biggrin.gif otherwise i think i'll go insane.

3 more days til her official due date.

My2Beauties replied: I went 2 days early with Hanna and my DF and my dad walked me all over the city I think. I was having contractions for 3 days that were like 15 and 20 minutes apart, they walked me to death and by that night my contractions were 3 minutes apart and we were hospital bound, Hanna graced us with her presence early that next morning baby.gif

amynicole21 replied: God, I hated those last few days rolleyes.gif I say get out of the house! Even if it's just to go to the mall and window shop. Anything to get your mind off of the waiting for even a few minutes! Good luck, sweetie!!

ediep replied: walk, eat fresh pineapple, eat spicy food, eat eggplant (that worked for me! I had eggplant parm the night before I went onto labor with Jason)

actually you really should be resting....once that baby comes there will be no sleep!

due_any_day replied:
that no sleep bit works for me i'm an insomniac anyway.

but pine-apple huh? thats a good idea. i absolutly love that stuff. i think i shall buy a few cans of it tomorrow.

kit_kats_mom replied:
I think it's supposed to be fresh pineapple. the canned stuff loses whatever it is that brings on labor

ediep replied:
good, that may come in handy really soon!!!

I have read that the pineapple has to be fresh....as in no cans.....the real thing. They are a pain in the tush to cut, so maybe you could get them cut for you int he produce section. Yumm!!

Good luck!!

kimberley replied:
you are right. it has to be fresh. i ate enough pineapple to make a person sick unfortunately it didn't work for me. hope it does for you! thumb.gif

due_any_day replied: fresh pineapple. heating pad on the breats, accupressure massage. ok. anything else? the last twoo came from a friend of mine that i waddled into (literally because i wasnt watching what the heck i was doing) who looked at me and said "geez! thought you'da popped by now!" (didnt that make me feel good....wait, no...it didnt)
