boyohboyohboy wrote: ok how do you drink this stuff??
I tried some water, a lot of water probably a little more then 8 oz at first and it was horrible..now I put in about 6 oz of OJ but its still kinda horrible.
I have the tangerine flavor is there a flavor that is better?
I am never going to be able to get the kids to drink it like this..

luvmykids replied: Really? I love it! I drink it in about 8ozs of water, sometimes I drink it hot in a coffee cup (I guess 6oz?). I usually buy the raspberry but also like the tropical a lot too.

Mommy2Isabella replied: we love it to.

our health food store has pink lemonade flavor smile.gif

MoonMama replied: I add mine (any flavor) to grape juice and its super yummy, BTW I don't like grape juice but some how the combo works for me. thumb.gif

boyohboyohboy replied: ok so maybe its just the tangeren that i dont like? I wish they had a combo pack to try all the flavors.
I do have to say, it did give me a boost of energy and I felt good taking it and that was only 4 packets.
now if I can just get the kids to take it. I am going to try the grape juice thing with them.

coasterqueen replied: I love the tangerine (or is it just orange, not sure). I just drink it in water. thumb.gif

cameragirl21 replied: Stacy, you can get some free samples here: http://www.emergenc.com/ and try different flavors to see if there is one you like.

DVFlyer replied: For Airborne, I use as little water as possible. In a standard tall glass, I might have it filled up 1" or 2". If I put in more water, it doesn't taste as good.

boyohboyohboy replied:
it tastes like a strong tang that I didnt add enough water too!
I just found I like it in apple juice. I am not a juice drinker by nature, I dont like the calories, but this is only for 2 times a day.

so far I do feel more energetic.

coasterqueen replied:
Are you just taking it twice a day all the time? I've only taken it when I feel sickness coming on. I wasn't for sure if it's good to take all the time or not. Do you know?

luvmykids replied:
The directions say one packet two to four times a day. I do at least one a day every day, sometimes two. When I'm feeling less than good is when I kick it up to three or four a day.

coasterqueen replied: Thanks, Monica. I had no idea it could be taken on a regular basis. I guess it says that somewhere on the box, but it seems like it wouldn't be safe IF someone was taking other vitamins, right? As it would be somewhat overdosing, possibly? I guess I'd have to figure that out so I know that won't be the case. happy.gif

luvmykids replied: I'm sure there is such a thing as too many vitamins....good question. In the little amount of research I've done, the daily intake of C depends a lot on other supplements so I guess it could vary depending on what else it is you take.

Fwiw, I take the emergen-C, a super B, folic acid, D, iron, and Calcium and have never felt any ill effects.

boyohboyohboy replied: I am taking one a day right now, I wanted something that would increase our immune system before we got sick to help keep us from getting so sick.

I havent started the kids on it yet, we wanted to take it a while first.

and from what I understand you cant take to much vit. C its water soluable and your body gets rid of what you have that is extra.

and most vitamins in pill form are not absorbed by the body right, and some cancel each other out..taking calcium in the same pill as iron cancels out the iron.

I will post the sites for this as soon as I can.

coasterqueen replied: Thanks ladies. I definitely need an energy booster as I'm getting much less sleep these days and dragging bum all day long. rolleyes.gif

Monica - I think that's about what I'd be taking as far as vitamins, so that should be ok.

Stacy - When I take too much Vitamin C, I get really sick, nauseous, bathroom problems, etc.
